I was a little down on our team make up as there is not much to really get excited about …

Back 5 aren't the worst I have seen in my time
Forward pack not flashy but could be ok
Bench is well underdone

The only positive for me is that there is a brief opportunity for Moses to really command the floor. This extrovert has his chance in a game not many would expect to win.

Most know I rate young Moses for his tenacity.

Very interested in his role and leadership.
 
Thats provided his forwards get on top and give him time and space sparty

I agree with you on his demeanour, hes got a good attitude

I think we need rankin/hunt utility value in this game with manai not playing a full 80\. With thise two in the side it allows for lots of options should a player go down or halves arent gelling.

I think that's as best as we are going to get Geo, i don't mind the like for like change in Liddle coming in…..but I don't think this is a game for him to be making his debut against IMO .
You would know better than me Geo in regards with Liddle but I don't think his quite ready yet.
I think half a year in State Cup will do a world of good but we are scraping the barrel already with Halatau and Ballin not available, so it's a high possibility depends what JT has in mind.

Liddle is a talent, he'd be an adequate bench temporary fill in. He's certainly targetable, and nowhere near ready … but you don't have to be first grade ready to do a 20 minute stint either side of half time to give the primary guy a breather.

With a big hitter like Cassell at hooker i think it alllows Sue to move the edge as our middle will remain solid. Will allow us to see if Siro is more suited to the middle than the edge. Aloiai comes on for Siro at the time Cherrington comes on.

Why would you play Littlejohn at hooker ? his primarily a five/eighth or Halfback . Can you get at least 25 to 30 tackles out of him centre field ? from what i have seen from the trials ? think he would be wasted there .
 
From what I have seen at Manly he is the best defender of all our halves and the best ball distributor

It also gives some back up in the halves if it isn't working
