Hard to pick given that theres a few injury clouds… But i think Payne won't be returning... and 2 weeks ago, Dene was still hobbling around so i don't think he'll be back either...

I honestly believe Payne will be out as his injury looked pretty bad. With Skando a cork is an unpredictable thing. So my side with shadows

Very tempted to start Laurie to stop parramatta getting a bit of a headstart if their big forwards get a roll on, especially if skando is on bench as we know he will drive us forward no matter what.

i would put Laurie & dwyer in but.I think Payton might miss a week cause he wont fight the charge & i cant see Skando being fit for friday

Payne is no loss anyway. Last couple of games he was back to his best i.e crap.

I am worried that Halatau will be named. I hope not.

Careful what you wish for.

Payne - good defence
Laurie - questionable defence

If out, we will miss Skando and his go forward. Galea MUST start!
Can't see Kapow coming in,J MO gave me the dirts but yesterday…
Collis 18th man atm until injuries are sorted in the backs.

I like that side but wouldn't be opposed to Laurie coming in, although I don't think Sheens will risk him anyway.

I've got nothing against Pred, but I don't think his head is in the right place atm and we would only be setting him and the team up to get burnt. He has not gone well in the last month for Magpies and is just marking time. Unfortunatley, I think the fans have to take a bit of the blame for his brain explosion,we put too much on him too soon and the press and wraps went to his head it seems. I hope he has a good off season and decides that he wants to continue with footy and is willing to put in the hard yards, not just want instant respect on and off the field.
Besides all that, I don;t think it is fair to the guys who have busted their butts in the last month for the team. They deserve to hold their spot/get another shot after a taste.

I don't think this will happen, but I wonder what the chances are of Andrew Fifita replacing Skando if he's unavailable.

Admittedly he's only playing in Toyota cup, but I think he would bring a lot of impact to the side up the middle. I actually rate Woods higher as an all round front rower in NYC, but coming off the bench Fifita may have more of an impact.

Like I said I doubt this would happen and I'm not sure if he's ready, but if we're looking for impact outside of Laurie, Fifita could be an option.

I'd be almost considering playing Morris at 7 instead of Lui just for the defense. But no.

Same team as against the Sharks with Galea to start and Payten on the bench. Would bring in Schirnack to cover Skando and Dwyer to cover Payne. Parra have shown in the last few weeks they can score points and not concede them … their last three games have been 30-0, 40-8 and 40-4\. Schirnack will cover the defensive work Payne does, and Galea needs to be out there from the start and get his shoulder in. Dwyer running the wide angles will add another dimension we lose with Payne.

In saying that, i`d love to see Daine Laurie back in the side. If he`s available and turning up to training, he should start the game insted of Gibbs.
