Your team

It amazes me that after last week's disruption to the team, some posters are still proposing a team without a utility on the bench. Potter has been copping heaps with his persistence of picking a utility instead of 4 forwards. I think last week pretty much showed the requirement to go with 3 forwards and a 'handyman'.
So I don't care whether we see Moses, Austin or Hitchcox at fullback, so long as one of the 2 not chosen is on the bench.

Lets hope that either or both Josh Mansour and Idris are selected for NSW ….
Also I would like to see Akaoula and Gavet in the team as Penrith have a few good forwards that need to be rattled

I picked Lodge on the bench in my team for several reasons after watching him play last Saturday, not necessarily in order , but he is big, mean and showed a good offload a couple of times, that in itself is a rare talent in a WT forward.

1\. Moses
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Lawrence
4\. Fine
5\. Richards
6\. Anasta
7\. Brooks
8\. Tapau
9\. Halatau - offers more than Luani in attack and defence. Glad to have him back in the squad.
10\. Galloway
11\. Sironen
12\. Thompson
13\. Blair

14\. Austin
15\. Ava
16\. Akaoula
17\. Farlow (call up to 1st is deserved and would not let anyone down)

18- Lulia (can cover both edge backrow and Centre)

My only concern is that my bench is a little prop light although Blair and Akaoula can cover front row.
On a positive it was good to see big Keith play more minutes last weekend due to the injuries. I thought he went pretty decent in his spells and will need to step up big time without Woods this week.

Fine has been killing it in NSW and could be an x factor that we need in the backs with Tim out

What happened to Kurtis Rowe? Why isn't he the obvious replacement for Teddy? I think he deserves to be and I hope Potter names him there.

Bad Ankle injury LCA Could be out for the season

Oh wow I didn't know it was that bad! We really can't take a trick can we? The casualty ward is enormous! Would've been nice to have Rowe and Paterson, at least, back on deck this week to fill in some gaps.

This is from Stripe Territory , which makes a lot of sense

Of course, Tedesco's injury isn't the only selection headache Mick Potter has before he selects his Round 17 side to face the high-flying Penrith Panthers. Tim Simona is also facing the prospect of a month on the sideline due to having his front teeth repaired. Sauaso Sue could also be ruled out with an AC joint complaint that the Club are currently assessing the extent of. Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods will be unavailable due to State of Origin commitments. David Nofoaluma picked up a knee injury against Canberra but has set his sights on playing on Sunday.

Conjecture amongst fans is divided as to which way Potter will go in terms of replacements. The Stripe Terrritory believes that he may go down the following path:

1\. Mitchell Moses to debut ahead of Rowe (injured), Austin (possibility if Farah was playing) and Jy Hitchcox (in good form but second tier salary cap already stretched)
2\. David Nofoaluma (if fit)
3\. Keith Lulia to be selected ahead of Asipelli Fine (again, cap issues)
4\. Chris Lawrence
5\. Pat Richards

6\. Braith Anasta
7\. Luke Brooks

8\. Martin Taupau (as per previous occasions where Woods has been out)
9\. Joel Luani ahead of Austin and Dene Halatau (same script when Farah has been out)
10\. Keith Galloway
11\. Curtis Sironen
12\. Bodene Thompson
13\. Adam Blair

Interchange
14\. Blake Austin (to replace Luani either end of the half)
15\. Ava Seumanufagai
16\. Sitaleki Akauola (replacing Taupau on the bench)
17\. Jack Buchanan (provided no Sue) ahead of James Gavet (needed the run in NSW Cup against Mounties but was dropped due to a breach of Club policy).

Tedesco a selection headache - He ain't even a fleeting thought. One second at best.

M team choice with Robbie , Woods , Sue , Simona & Teedy unavailable

1\. Mitchell Moses….last week was his worst game in the last 5
2\. David Nofoaluma
3\. Asipelli Fine ..... Playing great footy the last month
4\. Bodene Thompson .....if Patterson was fit I would have thrown him there ( ala Titans game Rd 2 when he was IMO , MOM when Lawrence got injured early that game
5\. Pat Richards

6\. Braith Anasta
7\. Luke Brooks

8\. Martin Taupau
9\. Dene Halatau
10\. Keith Galloway
11\. Curtis Sironen
12\. Sitaleki Akauola
13\. Adam Blair

Interchange
14\. Blake Austin (to replace Dene either end of the half)
15\. Ava Seumanufagai
16\. James Gavet....need him with all the injuries , even though a run last week would have helped
17\. Jack Buchanan.

Been a fan of Lawrence over the years but since 5 guys had to jump on him in hospital to put his hip back , he has struggled big time and the last 2 games especially have Been way too painful watch anymore & needs to play @ 11am on Sunday to try and regain some form.

1\. Hitchcox.
2\. Taukafa.
3\. Nofoaluma
4\. Fine
5\. RIchards
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Seumanufagai
9\. Halatau
10\. Galloway
11\. Thompson
12\. Akaoula
13\. Blair

14\. Austin

you've made way too many changes in the backline. consistency wins comps.

It will probably be more like:

1\. Hitchcox/Moses/Austin
2\. Nofo
3\. Lulia
4\. Lawrence
5\. Richards
6\. Anasta
7\. Brooks
8\. Taupau
9\. Luani
10\. Galloway
11\. Sironen
12\. Bodene
13\. Blair
14\. Ava
15\. Hitchcox/Moses/Austin
16\. Buchanan
17\. Akaulo

that article has pretty much got it down perfectly. he knows his stuff

Halatau needs to come in with Robbie and Woods out. This is presumably what he was bought for. Luani does not has the weapons to guide the team around yet.

We need to carry a utility on the bench, either Austin or Moses.

I would like Ava to start as Taupau is a much better impact player from the bench.

I would love to see Hitchcox and Fine rewarded for their solid State Cup Form.

1\. Austin
2\. Nofa
3\. Lulia
4\. Lawrence
5\. Richards
6\. Anasta
7\. Brooks
8\. Ava
9\. Halatau
10\. Galloway
11\. Siro
12\. Thompson
13\. Blair

14\. Moses/Luani/Farlow
15\. Taupau
16\. Akaoula
17\. Gavet
18\. Buchanan

Unsure who id have as the utility on the bench. With Moses, he can come on to fullback and push Austin to 9, giving Halatau a breather or option to move to forwards. Alternatively Luani and Farlow and also play hooker and backrow

Seems strange that everyone is coming out and saying Moses is or might be playing

Wouldn't you try and keep it under the radar and keep the pressure off him with the media etc
