Your top 17, Season 2016

I can't see where I ever did that - just a figment of your imagination.

Well you've totally disregarded him from any conversation about playing first grade. Bit harsh i'd have thought on a guy with his experience. Unless you're just still a little peeved over how Farah was treated and see Ballin as the enemy. I'm not saying he's been a better player than Farah, but saying he's totally unworthy of first grade selection is laughable and makes me wonder you'd go to those extremes.

With all due respect I find your comments regarding Ballin getting the role ahead or Robbie a little funny as well. I don't think it's fair comparing the two of them because Robbie has been so far ahead of Ballin for a long time.

Ballin might surprise us but I don't think so.

Have another read. Never said he would or should be selected ahead of Farah. It's actually Cherrington who i said he should be ahead of for 2016.

That being said i'm not sure how arguing Farah is better than Ballin is relevant.

Yeah forgot about that…
Hmm, doubt they'll have him in NSW Cup aii, he's the golden boy.

From what I have been told, our backline to commence the year will be as follows;

1\. Tedesco
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Rankin (currently training in position and has inside running)
4\. Simona
5\. Naiqama (Hunt is next in line)
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks

Out of curiousity,
Where did u hear that?

I've heard a few things myself but it's all been differing.

Thats not a bad backline!

I'm happy with Rankin at centre.

Sorry can not reveal my sources as I won't be able to get further information in the future.

Abbo-Carr likely to play full back in State Cup.

I am happy with the backline that is likely to be named.

Im relatively happy with this young Back line.

If there is an element of continuity I think there are some points here.

So many ifs though,

I agree with the addige that Defense is key and we need to ensure that it is very hard for opposition teams first

It's not in-line with what TT has been saying at NYE time.

Taylor is reluctant to shift Kevie to the wing and Addo-Carr was the front runner to take the wing spot.

1\. Ted
2\. Nofa
3\. Kev
4\. Simona
5\. Addo-Carr
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks

That said, I do like your backline.

Yeah ^^
Torchy said Kev is too much of a liability under the high ball to be on the wing.
He is a man in the know.

Thats why I question your sources.

I've heard from a few others Hunt is looking real good for the wing also.

Torchy did have a miss tho - said that Lawrence and Woods would be announced co-captains.

So anything is possible. Rankin sounds like at the moment he deserves to be in the 17\. Just a matter of him not fitting anywhere perfectly at the moment. We'll most likely have a 2nd hooker on the bench and Halatau is good enough cover as utility, so that would count him out of the 17 jumper.

Selecting on seniority first (if it's touch and go) is probably the smart method. It could demotivate if Addo is selected as to not move Kevie and Rankin has outplayed both.

Can't see Kev moving to the wing myself (He is not a winger).
So either in the centre or out for mine.

Really like Rankin and Hunt. Hunt as the other winger in my opinion.

I think Halatau will start so Rankin could be on the bench ( can cover all the backs).

Rankin will be used at centre and at full back if Teddy is injured or SOO duties.

Players really love and respect Woods as captain.

As we all know players get injured plus trial form as an impact with the final make up.

It would safe to say Rankin, Kev and Hunt will be fighting it out for two positions available.

Like TT my source is a point in time which could change.

Asipeli Fine is for some reasons forgotten as center option, he was the best NSW cup center and always one of the best WT players on the field. He is very good defender, and can play different positions.
