One of the selectors GNR or just hoping?
He would have been in reserves at Manly - can't see him getting too much game time if they really want to bring Cherrington forward.
Farah should be first choice hooker and we've got a ton of backrowers - including the need to fit in Halatau somewhere.
We also have a hooker whose played over 200 games and who for many yrs has only missed out on Origin due to the fact he's had the best hooker of the modern era ahead of him. I'd say he warrants consideration too.
Where's all the love for Ballin coming from - or is it you have it in for Farah?
Ballin was lucky to play 1 game for QLD - 6 years ago.
Even if Cameron Smith had retired the last few years he wouldn't have got close to getting picked.
I'm not saying he isn't a decent player, and is most probably a nice guy.
On the other hand, the simple fact is he's not as good as Farah.
Are you also prepared to risk losing our next long term hooker in Cherrington by having Ballin taking up his minutes?
That question is so interchangeable. **Why are you so against him, and trying to devalue his career to this point,** because he's a threat to Farah's position?
As for Cherrington, i'm sure another yr to develop won't do him any harm, by which time i believe an agreement will be made for Farah to go to the SL in 2017, which will make Ballin and Cherry the rotation in 2017, leaving Cherrington with the reigns in 2018.
