IMO you can NOT pick him next week,

He will be bombed into the stone age immediately. You can so "so what, he gets a chance to make up for it"...but he had that chance after the 3rd or fourth chance today.

Let him catch bombs for a few weeks in KOE. We can not afford that in first grade.

I totally agree. We need to rotate players until they don't get caught out. If they get caught out drop them and tell them they have to learn in reserve grade. Fix the problem and perform in reserve grade and you will get another chance.

That's exactly how you destroy the confidence of every player in the backline, an and destroy and chemistry/combinations between players

How many got caught out last night? Howe many could you drop?

Didn’t really rate this guy in reggies and despite the hype last week don’t think he is first grade material. When he made that break last week he was as slow as a prop and starting running in quick sand after about 15metres. His runs out of our own end make maximum 2 metres. He can’t catch a high ball. Our deficiencies in the outside backs needs to be addressed by recruitment ASAP.

Unfortunately we only have a top 30 (28 or 29 at the moment) and the depth and quality is pretty questionable.

Better depth than a lot of teams

Cini to me is the only one that should get dropped and that is because he was really poor. Other players could be dropped but mainly too try other options. Brooks probably fits the second category.

I wouldn’t drop Cini, I’d give him a chance to redeem himself. If he has another shocker then a red line across his file.

Lots of points here.

Does confidence have any impact on performance or does performance impact confidence ? My take is that any player who gets dropped and then loses all confidence and cannot play to a high level again isn't a first grader.

As for chemistry and combinations I agree with you but we are losing anyway.

I'm also not stating drop every single player. I'm just stating when they get caught out like Cini was. That was extreme and not a little stuff up.

He needs to work on aspects of his game. He doesn't offer enough to accept his shortcomings especially in a position like winger.

it's about becoming a technically better player without the pressure of performing in first grade.

Hope he comes back from that better. As his first game suggested he is far better than that.

According to Madge everyone is better than that ...but we rarely see it

The Gus quote comes to mind .....Lifetime to prepare for your debut .....7 days for game 2

I saw enough of him in his first game to give him a go. Although he had a lot of mistakes in his second game, I'd still give pick him in firsts, give him some more chances, hopefully he can get over the nerves.

It's not like his mistakes has lost us a premiership chance, may as well stick with him and see if he comes good.

He won’t be there next week ..
Talau will be back ..

Madge intimated he won't be there next week in the post-match conference.

How many games are you prepared to lose to make someone feel good about themselves?
