I totally agree. We need to rotate players until they don't get caught out. If they get caught out drop them and tell them they have to learn in reserve grade. Fix the problem and perform in reserve grade and you will get another chance.

How many got caught out last night? Howe many could you drop?

Unfortunately we only have a top 30 (28 or 29 at the moment) and the depth and quality is pretty questionable.

Does confidence have any impact on performance or does performance impact confidence ? My take is that any player who gets dropped and then loses all confidence and cannot play to a high level again isn't a first grader.

As for chemistry and combinations I agree with you but we are losing anyway.

We did. I don't think he was ever interested. Manly offered him a good deal the same way they offered Aloiai and then mysteriously his personal issues surfaced for both of them that led them to go there.

We did. I don't think he was ever interested. Manly offered him a good deal the same way they offered Aloiai and then mysteriously his personal issues surfaced for both of them that led them to go there.

I have no idea what went down ... maybe we got too comfortable with AJ / Talau who have been less than impressive

The real question is - he's had 1 good game, 1 bad game, will he repeat the bad game or learn from his mistakes? Everyone has a bad game, I personally think it's unrealistic to drop someone the instant they have 1 bad game, especially inside their first 2 matches.

If you drop Cini now you give him no opportunity to show he's learned anything.

Showing favouritism is dangerous.

Players have missed far more tackles than he has. And that's far worse then dropping bombs. Missed tackles lead directly to tries... He's a much better defensive player than our other wingers.

Madge only promotes and demoted based on defensive output. Not sure Cini did much wrong there.
If we are building to the future I’d stick Cini at Centre put MBye on the bench and bring talau back on the wing. Hooker can be a heads or tails flip between Simpkin and Liddle. Unfortunately MByes position is off the bench.

Besides the dropped balls, if he did well tackling I would give him the opportunity to rebuild his confidence. One less defensive hole we have to fix is a positive. Anyway let's hope he gets back to his best.

I would put it to you he's spent enough time in reserves this year to show he can play above that level, and that's exactly why he was promoted in the first place, although I don't think he was in the coach's consideration as of Round 1.

If Cini turns around and has a blinder in reserves, does that prove anything other than he's capable of playing above reserve grade, which we already knew?

I've only watched 3 reserve games this year, but he was a standout in all 3 for me. No doubt Madge has been watching him and that form counts.
Honestly I don't see him having as bad a game as that one ever again. In firsts or reserves.

Agree Nof talau and kepoa have all survived one shocker at least. Give Cini another shot
