Jokes a side .. welcome and think he will do very well with us and won't look back.. Great news

Leave then!

Congrats to Zane, hopefully he can play a strong role in the prop rotation.
Have to give it to Justin, he said there would be a potential signing this week and he delivered.
Go team.

Not sure about the hate, this has nothing to do with our big signing(s) that may or may not happen.

I like this signing, low cost for a potentially solid forward.

Welcome to WT, Zane...

Welcome Zane

I'm conflicted about this.

hmmmmm.

I know we need the numbers but unsure of this guy

Very unsure. We need a prop with size, but I have a hard time ethically just ignoring this:

Quote: “In the cold light of day you could observe the distress on her. She was crying and upset. It even affected her here today,” Mr Lyon said.

I'm hearing you....

I felt the same about packer....

This ethically is harder for me as it was a young woman.

Packer, at least, was against a man (albeit an unconscious one and he stomped on his head)

I don't want to bring this thread down, but there is a legit chance next season at times we will have a front row of
Packer
Josh
Musgrove

Not sure what message that sends and what type of club we are trying to be. They were pretty strong only a couple of years back about being a "no ___heads" club. Seems that has been completely thrown out the window.

And, yeah, I get that we need a big prop and Musgrove fits the bill....

I am outspoken on violence towards women and generally don't want a bar of them being at my club. Had Zane's actions been more serious, no way would I want him here and still don't particularly want him. However, he has had his days in court, been convicted of relatively minor indiscretion and served penance of a year out of the game, so I will accept him to the side.

[Leck]

This was a good, well priced signing last year. He stuffed up and has paid the price.

I see him as a great strike bench prop. We need as much power up forward as we can get.

Fair enough, no sure I would term it minor.
If it was my wife / partner / child he did it to, I certainly would not want to see him playing pro footy each week.

. Wests Tigers is a club with strong convictions and a strong identity, and I have no doubt that Zane’s rugby league journey so far will continue to see him develop into a fine young man.”

Being convicted of sexual assault is now phrased as 'part of your rugby league journey?' to being a fine young man?

They would have been better just saying he made mistakes, acknowledges them and wants a second chance.

This is crap . He kissed a girl he was with in a far more closer way , a week before. He was drunk and totally misread the situation .
That could and probably has happened to any of us .
Consent laws are hectic nowadays. I would hate to be a young male , not out to do wrong , just making the mistake of counting your chickens . He shouldn’t have touched her , but man , that’s a tough one .

Welcome to the club.

Our club has given him a second chance. Don’t think we or the NRL will give him a 3rd.

Packer has done his time and turned his life around and so far made the most of his second chance.

I think a player like him will make a difference to our team.

He aggressively forced himself on her in a public place, continued when she started crying, and bit her lip.

I have had multiple relationships and been married 19 years now...I have never done any of that and I doubt 99% of posters here have not also.

Not sure if Josh has been convicted yet... So no reason to be throwing him into that list with the rest of them. Also find it funny that you seem to somehow consider Zane's offense to be more serious than Packers because Packer did it to a man... Packer stomped on and nearly killed a man. Musgrove moved for a woman more aggressively than he should have. Hardly a comparison regardless of whether it was done to a young woman or man.

Nasty ..
Cheeks is a proven match winner...
Without the individual brilliance of cheeks we would’ve finished 11th last year .
Put that in your pipe and smoke it !
