If there’s this much meltdown after a trail, can you imagine what it would be like if we only win 2 games over the first 6 weeks? It feels the enthusiasm everyone was building over the off season took a hit tonight. At the end of the day, it’s still only a trail

Ngati looks a first grader, even though he's never even played NSW cup. A nuggetty, strong runner but also his service was far superior to liddles, adjusting to do but I'd be amazed if Liddle sees out the season

Rua wasnt bad, but lets be realistic, he did just the minimum job of a hooker. Got to DH and his passing wasnt bad. Looked heavy and slow.
IMO if no one had seen Brandon Smith we would be asking who the slow chunky hooker is.

Brooks was ok, get off your high horse guys and realise that this was a trial.
There were positives like To'a and Peach.
If we are a total shambles after next game I'll concede. Tonight was a game of touch footy, the Indigenous game was a proper game not this one.

The way our juniors have been talked up, tonight was always going to end up this way. Best to blow all the hope out early.
We have a weak squad. Even weaker depth. The only hope we have of finishing >12 is no injuries.
I must say from what very little I saw of the game it was very disappointing. Our young players looked like boys up against men. We couldn’t pass and hold the ball. Manly/Blacktown ran harder and tackled harder. My dad always tells me I have too much faith in this side and I think he is right. I know it’s only a trial but as a young fella you should be out there giving it your all to try and impress. I was not impressed

I agree the first was good with most of the first graders the second half is why people are mad but most of those players won’t play first grade

The fact that the club decided to take on a tough trials schedule is, for me, a good thing.
Our roster is work in progress and far from the stage where we can seriously challenge quality sides.
Having few players sitting on the sidelines until mid season does not help.
I will be looking at improvements for this season as a whole but seriously people ….. trials form will not be my gauge on that front.
…… what I saw tonight was a “Reasonable“ first half separated by solid game by DCE and spark of what you’d expect from Turbo. Do we yet have 1 player of that calibre in our top 29 squad? No.
Our right wing and at the back defensive issues remain.
I saw nothing special in two fullbacks on display.
Will Brooks Hastings partnership provide improvement we need? Nobody knows but give it a chance before placing crap on our no.7.
The real question for me is whether our forward pack …. which has a reputation of being dominated ….. finally evolve into effective unit. On tonight’s effort I’d say Ukraine has more chance of repelling a Russian invasion.…… And my friends that is where our problem lies …. our forwards look like Tarzan but play like Jane.
Anyway thats My penny worth.

They both played Flegg for the Tigers. They are Tigers juniors.
If they are not Tigers juniors, then neither was Paps.
EDIT: Paps played Ball & HM for Balmain as well
