The way our juniors have been talked up, tonight was always going to end up this way. Best to blow all the hope out early.

We have a weak squad. Even weaker depth. The only hope we have of finishing >12 is no injuries.

Most of our depth is injured players like talau

Brooks was ok, get off your high horse guys and realise that this was a trial.
There were positives like To'a and Peach.
If we are a total shambles after next game I'll concede. Tonight was a game of touch footy, the Indigenous game was a proper game not this one.

How many trys did Manly concede in this touch footy game?

I agree the first was good with most of the first graders the second half is why people are mad but most of those players won’t play first grade

i think if u watch a lot of games we lost by 15-20 points started out the same way as that game did
a 12-4 ht lead which if they had kicked well would of been 18-4 is not good
still a lot to work out cause come round 1 we have the storm and we have to be ready and fired up

Good observation, but so were Manly missing players, as I keep saying it's a trial. Madge had to blood as many as possible notibly Dillon because injuries and COVID will test our depth.

that's 3 tries to 1 though ,we had good spells in this game but the problems we had last year haven't gone away

Good signs in the first half. To'a and Gildart look comfortable, they will go well. Peachey looked good. I was worried Lucy might check out this year, but he looked keen. No point wetting the bed over that game. We'll go well this year. Can't wait to see our Lord and Saviour Hastings get a run. Onwards and upwards!

Yes defended better but importantly the young beasts from Manly made it look easy against our midgets. Well tongue in cheek. They monstered us all over the park. We had no chance. We did ok, result as expected. Just a trial, though on paper it’s gonna be along year and on paper we are a bottom 4 team. Just hope we punch above our weight and do us proud. In saying that, have no expectation that this will happen. Bigger and better things in 2023.

Madge had to blood young fellas because of COVID and injuries, but have a look at manly's young fellas, too big too strong too fast, as i said we were just playing 'touch footy'
