Disappointed with the 'us' v 'them' crap finding its way back into things and particularly this thread, with the ugly "fan boys" making a comeback, this time relating to Doueihi.

WTF is it with the seeming need to play one of our WT squad against another, in either bloody direction. They are both NRL level players as virtually all agree, so can we stop this shit please.

But I struggle at the fact there are a few on here that still rate Mitchell Moses as something. Really?

And for those about to say "Look where his team has finished - ahead of ours". My response would be that's not because of him, its despite him.

I dont care about when he was here and how he left. He was massively overrated then, and nothing has changed.

His kicking game single handedly won them a couple of tough games last year. Dylan Brown was non-existent in 2021 and Gutho was playing injured the last quarter of the year and Mahoney didn't play the last third! To me, Moses was on par with DCE, Reynolds and Hughes last year, with Cleary the far best.

You just can't blame the rest of the team for him not performing as a halfback. That's on him.
Most of the onus however is on the coaches and management that persist with him.

Have you ever laced a boot mate because you are missing that its a 17 man game. The halfback relies first on his forwards to set a good platform and then his backs to finish off his handy work. He doesn’t play in a silo.

Well said, and the true value of a player is what the market would pay for him.Other coaches see the value of him, and he would get similar money if he was avaliable. Tell me if AD was on the market, who would buy him as either 5/8, centre or FB on the money he is currently on ?

2 types of Players you and I probably didn't see before them, Or will ever see after them.

He's not Thurston, He's not Johns, He's not Cronk or Lockyer... No one "rational" is expecting to be... (Funny you mention Joey - When him and his club are chasing Brooks so hard)

Until now, We've had no better replacement available to us that's better than Brooks, (Unless you think we should have paid Townsend 850k?) - Until there are other options of a higher standing, We'd be better off playing back rowers at centre... Because then they'll have an excuse.
And Brooks will go straight to an above average side and get above average results. No question.

Now, If our above average half, is surrounded by above average players - He might get above average results - And these conversations don't exist.

Everyone wants a Johns, Or JT, Or Cronk... But they just don't make enough of them.
