Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

My understanding is he is still in negotiations with the Dolphins as he was apparently keen on returning to Brisbane
Let him go. Very ordinary. We need a good half, with half a football brain. A second row partner for Pap's and a center partner for Gildart. If Dui plays the other night, in my opinion, we would have won.

p.s. Also a lock forward that can cover behind the line and tackle.

Tigers are cashed up and ready to spend

The Wests Tigers showed signs of improvement in the loss to Melbourne on Saturday night.
It’s interesting to note they are playing around $1m under the salary cap in 2022. The Tigers are forking out about $400,000 for Moses Mbye to play at the Dragons, while they also have close to $600,000 in unused salary cap space this year given their previous struggles in recruitment.

The Tigers are keeping a close eye on the player market in the hope of a mid-season signing, although they could choose to pay some of their current players in advance and free up more money to add to the 2023 signings of Api Koroisau and Isaiah Papali’i.
They had discussed pursuing Jack Bird but decided against making an offer. They are interested in Cronulla backrower Briton Nikora, who is off contract at the end of the year.
Saturday night’s loss continues a horrible run for the Tigers at CommBank Stadium, recording their 11th loss in 16 games at the venue in Parramatta.
This is their final year of their commitment to play a minimum of four home games at the new facility in Parramatta.
The club is moving towards finalising their home grounds for next season, and it appears as though they will play eight games a season at Campbelltown as part of their focus on reconnecting to the south-west. That will leave the club with four home games at Leichhardt Oval each season.

Tommy Talau - This is a sad story. Talau is unlikely to play this season after suffering a ruptured ACL last September. The damage was worse than an average torn ACL, meaning he‘s unlikely to see any football in 2022. He is banking on trust from the Tigers to earn a new deal.

To be honest it would take a lot of trust to give him another contract,he has not been bad but he has not been great either. It will probably come down to if the club sees enough potential in him

Can we just offer him a NSW cup contract? 2 years and see how he returns? If he’s killing it in cup then after round 10 he can play any way so he doesn’t need to be top 30

Would be a minimum wage top 30 contract at best I would say...

You forget the Forum doesn't see the likes of Kelma as much as the blokes who make these decisions.
Going off his trial and first game this year...

He's shown more than Blore has in 18 months.
I rate Blore as one of the best young defensive backrowers in the game, and Kelma not very highly in defence, though Kelma looks more exciting in attack. When you have a similar try-leaking backrower on the other side, things can get ugly.
