You young blokes that tweet, and InstaFace shit should send it to the entire tigers forward pack.

Mate, what is Garner do if he reads that? Turn into David Fifita?

Noooo, he looks nothing like David Fifita. But I'd take a Steve Menzies Clone.
Maybe it would spur him on to using his should instead of waving at them as they run past.

Idk. He’s not suddenly going to gain ability he didn’t have before. It’s pretty spot on I think. Are clubs really going to be fearing our pack this year? I wouldn’t think so.

All the more reason to crack a few heads and see how you go. You might wake a few up.

For example, if I was playing the Roosters, I'm not really expecting to get on top of their pack. But every time JWH came on, Id have every one of my 6 forwards jam him all at once, lay on him, wrestle him, every time and annoy the crap out of him. I understand their other 5 forwards would tear us apart but they would do that anyway. Go after their heart and soul and belt the smithereens out of him, let him knw he has been in a game. Ignore the other forwards, even when they want to put on a stink to protect their guy, but deliver him 80minutes of foccused hell.

If we could coordinate that and everyone buys in, it doesn't matter we get beat 30-6. We would probably have done so anyway, but they will start to take notice. Its not the belting of JWH they notice, it's the pack mentality they notice where we all hunt as one, being prepared to take on the top dog at all costs.

Don't disagree with you, But have you seen what Jarred does when he gets banged about?
Or one of his team mates?
Our blokes would go to water...

If all 6 of our forwards tried to tackle the one guy at the same time I’d suggest mass sackings would be required.
Additionally, if we did this, the score would not be 30-6, it would be closer to 100.

There were several games where I went "were going to win this" and our pack was just soft.
Cronulla comes to mind as they had Tolman and another big name out and we were missing Tamou. Must win game and the sharks won it.

Were soft, and just went really soft by the end of the year.
I notice that Melbourne had Jason Ryles really toughen up the players and instill that physical hardness. Craig Fitzgibbon likewise did the same at Easts always willing to wressle players and really upping the physicality. Easts hired Ryles to replace Craig!

2021 we were missing that. We had big units but except for us vs Parramatta we lacked Grit. So our forward pack got walked on and any halfback would struggle (boy did brooks struggle though). Our priority should be to sort the pack.

Sounds like we will have just Blore and Papa next year as established second rowers, with Tuki in development. We need at least another two second rowers, one good established one, and another young fella on the up.

Would be thinking that Tamou and Mikaele are both gone this year too, they also need to be replaced. Pele spoken of to be coming here, but need another.

Simms is not an upgrade imo

Respecting all opinions alike...

But how is a bloke that stood out in Origin last year NOT an upgrade on the likes of -
Luke Garner
Alex Seyfarth
Shawn Blore
Tuki Simpkins and
Kelma...

Basically all our Back Rowers bar Luch, Who is out next year....

Tariq Sims is 32 - his average run metres in 2021 were the lowest in his career and his average missed tackles in 2021 were the highest in his career. He can't make the 17 at Saints at the moment and played reggies last week.

I'd like to think we can aim higher

Bar Stef , Simms is better than the rest of our pack , He and Stef would be first 2 selected each week if we had him now , I would take him for 2 years stating now
Simms has experience and he has a go ,
