LIVE GAME Round 2 General Discussion *SPOILERS*

Live Game Discussion
Think Newcastle might have been without Ponga for a decent period, might have included that game too. Early days but they also look a better side than last year too. You’re right though, Tigers can surprise when they’re not expected to do well.. Never know
Watson from memory Played great last year got them back in the match

This competition looks tighter this year, not that much between the sides which is good.

So goalkicking could be the difference as we saw tonight. And it's a problem for us.

Another ref decided outcome imo.
Storm clearly offside all night but the ref only starts to ping them late in the game for it.... The momentum this creates for teams is near impossible to hold out.
For a (C) to ask the ref why his team was penalised and the ref can only reply 'I don't know, I did t call it' is just wrong too.
It's refereed.to.look good on tv....

I didn’t watch all the game but that’s disgraceful. The ref with the whistle has to call what’s a penalty and should only get advice from others e.g “number 6 hands all over the ball” the ref than decides if it’s a penalty or not based on how it affects the play.

Love to know the stats of successful ref challenges per each ref. Our no1 ref, Sutton sure comes second a lot of times when his calls are challenge.

It would also appear, the refs are under orders to cut back on the six again calls. I guess the NRL did not want to lose face and scrap the rule, so they have had a chat to the refs to use it only when the Tigers are running around

The captain asked why the six again noise sounded at the time. It was not the question of the penalty and the ref said he did not know as he did signal the six again.
