He scored in the corner the side I'm on... I was so into it and excited he'd scored I started waving the flag like a supporter at an nrl game... Quickly put it back down sheepishly looking around seeing if anyone noticed.... Everyone looking at me 😭

People are trying to separate Brooks from the rest of the team. He competes on every play, his execution can be poor. I’d say the very same thing about Jimmy Maloney.

Champion Data statistics for all halfbacks who have started more than 50 NRL games since 2017 shows Brooks averages as many tries and line breaks as Mitchell Moses, has more try assists than Adam Reynolds and matches Ben Hunt for line-break assists in a team which can’t make the finals.

The rest of the team needs to start competing on every play.

I get if people think he has run his race at our club. No doubt that can be argued. But look at Billy Walters last week. Looked like a different player. You will never convince me that Brooks wouldn’t go to a new level if he went to another club. He loves this club though, and if he has it his way I think he’ll see out his career here. He’ll never reach the heights he‘s capable of as a result.

You say that like Hastings is a star whose played 20 Origin games. He’s got more to prove than Brooks does.
