The report does not say they were home by 10. It says they left that pub at 10. It's not clear what time they got home. Not drinking alcohol was reported at that's good. I'll just bet it wasn't in Madge and the hierarchy's plans that players have a night out the night before the game. That's what I think is the bad look.

It must be the fact they weren't drinking. Typically if you are having a slap on the pokies you'd think you were also having a beer.

I should add that I don't gamble at all and I worked with a nice lady years ago whose life was ruined by the Pokies. She ripped off some customers (she was a financial adviser at a big bank) to fund her addiction. She ended up in jail and was dead at a young age. I'm not sure how she died but I assume her life was ruined once she got busted.

Had the same experience. A woman who worked for me embezzled over $300k using her colleagues log ons and passwords to cover her tracks. She was universally loved at work before the proverbial hit the fan. She had a massive pokie habit and ended up spending 15 months at Her Majesty's pleasure.
 
Just don't understand JTJ at all. The bloke must know he's on pretty thin ice even allowing for his reputedly low cost deal. Hard to see anyone else signing him up if we let him go.

Why…they have done nothing you and I wouldn’t do….it was 9pm…..fair dinkum..they are allowed to have a life outside the 80minutes of playing footy every week. the source came from a knights fan seeking 5 minutes of fame, so he can tell his mates he broke a story and of course the Telecrap bought it….I hope the Tigers hierarchy do nothing about it…..geeez the Tiger bashing continues

it is not a made up source it actually happened so not a reporter writing a bs story

If I was earning 250k a season playing RL I would not be at the pokies or bar at 9pm before a game it is about image and perception
 
In other news, the 15 other Tigers were home asleep in bed at 8.30. Tigers have been approached for comment as to why they were allowed to play while clearly ill.
 
How's the Knights fan claiming to be disappointed to see players at the pokies. Luckily nobody in Newy plays pokies and a Knights player in the local games room would of course be heretical, rather than a local low-key approachable regular type guy who doesn't eat breathe and shit rugby league 24/7.
