I'm not. Just hoping he can at least look like he is having a go and gives a damn. That, and no Under-8's ballhandling errors would at least be some sort of upside.

That tackle on Gutho, that was something else. The aggression, speed and intent. The mouthing off at the end. I was wearing my Garmin and checked my HR was 118bpm.

He actually started to play through the middle today, backing up through the guts on a couple of occasions, including that awesome kick chase where he single handily handed Gutho a slice of humble pie.
It made the forwards job easier when we had Simpkins, Brooks and Laurie all working in and around the ruck. Lots of half breaks and quick play the balls enabled the roll on.

Really? I thought that was one of the things he didn't do. He likes to chime in on backline plays but I never see him following forwards around the ruck and still didn't see that today.

He still has a long way to go but you can see he has the potential to go a long way.

He started to today. Its the first time I have seen him do it. Ran off a nice Tamou offload, was moving about in traffic with the ball on a couple of occasions and when he chased that kick on Gutherson, he was up in the line supporting.
Certainly not enough to compare him to the great fullbacks getting about but he showed something today I havent seen from him....ever.

Madge probably made him watch 40 hours of video of Slater, Lockyer, Minichello, Teddy etc.
He played more like a fullback today than he ever has.
