who shall we buy for halfback?

I appreciate my relationship with @Demps - So I don't go there....

He's so appreciated, He doesn't even have a sponsor...
I guess business folk know he's not getting your name up on the scoreboard anytime - EVER - Why sponsor him...
Got my thoughts on Twalzy.

I think he's being misused which he has much of the last few years...

His best game was against Penrith last year when he displayed some aggression and grubbiness to his game.

He's a piece of the puzzle to our team, going forward. Just not sure where he's at mentally.... but yes, he's been extremely average. Not impressed. Hoping he can switch on and show some improvement.

Seyfarth is the real deal though, he should be invested in as he's showing some real promise.

I'm joking.

That door is closed, forever.
Still a better 7 than Brooksy though.

Imagine if the club locked em in, Penrith style.

1 Tedesco
6 Brooks
7 Moses
9 Cherrington
with Koroibete and Nofo on the wings, Simona and an injury free Seve in the centres, Woods and Taupau in the front row and Sironen and Dwyer in the back row. I'm not crying, you are.

Work of art roster that one...

1 Tedesco
2 Addo Carr
3 Simona
4 Nofo
5 Koro
6 Brooks
7 Moses
8 Woods
9 Liddle
10 Fifita
11 Dwyer
12 Sirinen
13 Taupau

14 Paseka
15 Tatola
16 Murdoch Masila
17 Sue

Cap friendly !?

still think that if the Gordy/Farah spat didn't happen we were destined to do good things in 2014. beat both grand finallists with ease that year. we had a squad that was top 4 calibre.

Don't forget (hopefully) the next Gen.

Zane Camroux 🔥

I'm not confident about juniors until I see them kill it. That second rower in flegg (I think) looked good.

We don't have to be a crap club forever although it feels that way.

I think we have to start making some tough decisions. We aren't building at all atm.

Kautoga looks just about our best back row prospect. O'Kane is silky and Tumeth is tough as nails, but neither of them have the skillset and power he possesses. we need to lock him up on a development deal pretty soon before better clubs come knocking.

I don't know if it was him but I met one young Tigers junior and he was massive like 120kg. He was a nice kid. He said he played in the backrow. He also said Madge had spoken to him about how to get better.

You know forward is toward "Our" try line yeah?
If he's being used wrong - It's been by 3 Lots of Coaches / Staff...
He's never been any different.
The thing that irks me, Is he seems very happy to have been the same since forever....
Same could be said for a few others.

My thoughts on him are..
- Zero aggression - In attack OR defence
- Won't run on the front of his feet (Too upright)
- Zero footwork at the line (Bar one linebreak I can remember)
- No passing - Offload in his game...
- Slow

Literally just an honest toiler.. The guy that should come up to grade every now and again when you're short middles....
All the old players love him because he's an old style honest footballer - And a champion bloke... But we're not playing in the 80's anymore.
He's mostly inneffective.

I'd rather someone who misses 3-4 tackles in the middle per game BUT is dangerous with the ball and can belt in defence. Case in point - I prefer Musgrove in the team over Twal...

It's funny when I see all the calls for other players to be sacked because they / we're going nowhere with them... When there's no realistic option to replace them!!

But no one is looking to move on our zero impact middle forward
- And there's plenty of those around.... Could have bought Papalii for 150k a couple years back.

Demps must have personal relationships with Cherrington and Seve. How else could you so staunchly defend the credentials of two guys that have played barely 50 first grade games between them

before Marion Seve was diagnosed with cancer and was plagued with knee injuries the kid was our best centre prospect coming through since Chris Lawrence. he was special, but unfortunately like many there was many a challenge that hurt his chances of becoming a regular first grader. additionally it was me who suggested Seve, not Demps. if you have a squiz at that side he put up he didn't even have him in the centres.

I haven't really commented on Seve other than that I agreed with another poster saying we should look at him...

I met Cherrington once and had a chat, nice guy.... gave me free tickets 🎟 😂 but yeah I rated him.... in the 20s.

That’s the game unfortunately. It chews you up and spits you out and people forget. I still find myself having to remind people just how good Lawrence was pre hip injury. Supporters only care about what you have done for them lately.

Been plenty of those kids coming through Jnr...
Seve, Asipeli was great in 20's, Lamar, Jacob Miller... I could go on and on and on...
Even in Ressies, There's guys that are killing it that don't step up.

Cancer may have effected Marion, He was dynamic for sure - Always thought he was too small myself. But most (not some) of those junior superstars just don't kick on.
Doesn't work that way...

I completely agree with the argument that the numbers on their back don't matter but I think we need to change Brooks role at the very least. I'd give him the 6 jumper and maybe it takes some of the pressure off him.
The numbers don't mean anything to us. I believe it might mean something to Luke. It won't hurt to try, we need something to kick-start him

Cameron Munster..

Bwaith said he'll have to take a massive pay cut to stay at the Storms..
I agree - We should offer Munster a fortune (that try he set up with the kick on the weekend was ridiculous) - Storm can't pay him his current salary - at least make the Storm squirm or Dolphins pay top dollar

I know he will say no and he is managed by Braith - but at least force the price up others have to pay

(If Braith is still worried about the Gatorade/Powerade situation at the Tigers I will personally provide Cameron with the flavour of his choice in sufficient quantities.)

I love him so much I’d pack his bags in a heartbeat if anyone could name a better replacement.
GNR is right. We all know how talented Luke is, he just needs to get his head right. It would be a different story if we could afford to drop him knowing we had a gun coming through

They both bring different aspects to the game Demps.
Seyfarth is a firecracker, raw explosiveness like a handgun.
Twal is more of a metre eater. He needs to play long minutes and find his knees and elbows.
They both have a part in our team. I think they will both flourish next year with Isaiah and Api on board.

Braith - Tigers - NO CHANCE!!

A fortune still would not be enough for him to even batter an eyelid. The top echelon of players don’t care about us. Do you remember starting high school in year 7? Year 12‘s would walk past you, and it’s like you didn’t even exist. It’s the same thing here. We aren’t even on player’s like Munsters radars.
