who shall we buy for halfback?

They both bring different aspects to the game Demps.
Seyfarth is a firecracker, raw explosiveness like a handgun.
Twal is more of a metre eater. He needs to play long minutes and find his knees and elbows.
They both have a part in our team. I think they will both flourish next year with Isaiah and Api on board.

Meter eater?
He's barely averaged 100m a game in his whole time with us and usually takes most of the game to get them.

A fortune still would not be enough for him to even batter an eyelid. The top echelon of players don’t care about us. Do you remember starting high school in year 7? Year 12‘s would walk past you, and it’s like you didn’t even exist. It’s the same thing here. We aren’t even on player’s like Munsters radars.
Like I said in my post - "I know he will say no" but at least Braith will go to the other teams with ammunition to push his price up and ensure they pay maximium.

(A lot depends on the coaching sutuation as well)

I agree - We should offer Munster a fortune (that try he set up with the kick on the weekend was ridiculous) - Storm can't pay him his current salary - at least make the Storm squirm or Dolphins pay top dollar

I know he will say no and he is managed by Braith - but at least force the price up others have to pay

(If Braith is still worried about the Gatorade/Powerade situation at the Tigers I will personally provide Cameron with the flavour of his choice in sufficient quantities.)
I would prefer to offer Hughes a deal. Munster would probably go off the rails without Bellamy.

I don‘t think it’s even about the money. I’m sure the top clubs would laugh if Braith told them we’ve offered him a million or thereabouts. I’m sure the top clubs would laugh and call Braith‘s bluff, tell him to take our offer and enjoy having Septembers off

As much as we all dislike Braith, he would be acting in his clients best interests. If we offer significantly more, then past prejudice aside, he would present that as an option.
It will only take a few signings to turn us around. We have seen a few teams do this in the last few years alone.

I think we just need to pay overs for the right, one big name - (ie not Reynolds/Packer)

Yeah - We're halfway there with the 2 coming...
But then we're losing 1 (Maybe 2) decent players in a similar position...

There's plenty of options open to us - We just have to be smarter...
And Harder!!

Spot on. Our salary cap screw-ups have really set us back. We are years behind our two main rivals, Parramatta and Penrith, and I'm hoping that doesn't affect us In the future.

We're more sellable than Penrith usually - Not Parra though
(No matter how bad they're going)
But with Penrith Winning so much lately, We don't come close....

We're the least competitive club market wise in Sydney. No beaches, No money, No glamour... We really need to find something to sell.

Nope - we need a few other positions first….
Some impact forwards would go down a treat!!
Some centres… a fullback would be a godsend… imagine we kept Corey Thompson!!
G'day @batboy
💯 agree with your comment re Corey Thompson.
He had guts and determination........ and we let him go as we thought he wasn't good enough.
He and Chris Lawrence were the last of the generation that had a true Wests Tigers attitude/toughness and he would have been a positive influence on a lot of our current blokes.

we don't need to go to market. I really believe Madden is worth giving some time. builds pressure and doesn't overplay his hand, plus he's very tough for a small bloke. having Hastings or Doueihi next to him will be good for him as well. if we can give him some time in the top grade this year and then give him a full preseason as our starting 7 the next, I think he'll come good.
Reminds me of a story about Tedesco and Paps.

Is a house on the Bow Bowing River (creek) at Campbelltown not enough?
Water views.

MAGPIES1963, I thought Corey was rated highly by the club? It was disappointing to see him go, but the club acted in his best interest due to family reasons. That’s what I heard?

Work of art roster that one...

1 Tedesco
2 Addo Carr
3 Simona
4 Nofo
5 Koro
6 Brooks
7 Moses
8 Woods
9 Liddle
10 Fifita
11 Dwyer
12 Sirinen
13 Taupau

14 Paseka
15 Tatola
16 Murdoch Masila
17 Sue

Cap friendly !?
I'd take Siro if it was Paul in his prime, otherwise I would give Ellis careful consideration.

Sack Nofo and give Taniela Tuiaki a run.
