Calm before the storm. Itās not like Paul Kent to get incorrect mail.Weāll have a fight on our hands
Flanagan just announced on a 2 year deal at Leeds
Possible - hard to tell with ārumoursā around the start of AprilCalm before the storm. Itās not like Paul Kent to get incorrect mail.
Isnāt that where Austin and Sezer play. Donāt like Flanagan Jnrās chances.
Hope you are right.Lets break it down
1) if this was a remote chance and agreements made the leaks would be thick and fast as this impacts not just us but the bulldogs (they would be over the moon) and dragons (shane is an assistant). All 3 clubs suck at keeping secrets.
2) board meetings would be held to 1st agree to sack Madge then we would have to open the door to recruit a new coach. interim would be appointed. This process takes months. Sheens wouldn't just jump in and have someone like Shane ready to appoint when Morris and others could be options.
3) Bulldogs to take on Brooks need more than Kyle to be handed over, the salaries aren't even close to be comparable. Bulldogs need to fit Sutton in before Brooks and they can't do that yet.
This is just an april fools joke. Can't see it happening.
That's a lot of mass debatingDebate continues to rage because the media continue the mass debate about it..
Didnāt he ring and complain to one of the best coaches in the last 20 years that his son wasnāt getting a fair go?If Flanagan is demanding to bring his son, we should me looking for a different coach
If you believe the media. We tend to pick and choose when we do that.Didnāt he ring and complain to one of the best coaches in the last 20 years that his son wasnāt getting a fair go?
I donāt know whatās more embarrassing - your dad ringing your boss telling him how to do his job⦠or having to ring your sons boss and tell him he should be getting a gameā¦
Either way, theyāre both sooks who canāt handle the fact that no one wants emā¦
No, but we are desperateSurely we aren't this dumb
This is the post of the week. Thx @Needaname .Canāt find the Madge article but Iād like to highlight a segment on The Fan on FOX Sports.
All of this years coaches were asked;
Would you rather play great and lose
Or
Play terribly and Win.
Every coach except two said āoh Iāll take the two points every timeā.
The two that didnāt, Trent Robinson; gave a big spill about how in a season, seasons decades of games that will win out. If you focus just on the end result your just going to go through peaks and troughs throughout your tenure.
Madge Maguire was the other one; Said that the habits you are trying to form are to develop good performance, this will lead you up for a succession of wins.
I really respect Trent Robinson as a coach, and I was pleased to hear that ours also has the same vision.
In saying that, given the way the whole team has progressed or more accurately regressed in recent seasons, it makes sense that Madge does think this way. He isnāt deterred by the lack of a win, as long as the goal of improving the performance is there.
Someone mentioned in the spoon thread that weāll probably win it this year, but in the same sentence said we arenāt far from becoming a consistent top 8 team.
It looks dire right now but I feel that longevity is the philosophy and goal of both Madge and Sheens at this moment.
And finally employing the Flanaganās in key roles as a knee jerk goes right agaisnt that philosophy.
At least you'll be able to keep your punchline - I'll give it a week before you start the Punt Flanagan thread. šKyle > Bwooks
Former roosters half .. whatās not to like ?
Come on Jimmy, Maguire is only human his only care is for his hip pocket, he knows when he loses this gig, he won't get another coaching job again, he may pick up a role in England, but any smart club will look at how he's stuffed this clubI can see positives, brooks Thompson swap, we get flanno snr and jnr pick up Nikora and xerri when his ban lifts...but honestly i donāt care, madge is my man he cares for the club and wants success for now and the next 20 years. Iāll stick with madge Atleast for next year if he canāt get results then we can talk about a new coach
