I intentionally didn't make comment on his ability, his ceiling or what I think should happen. I agree with your view on To'a on potential, capability and if he should play now over others.

My comments were very clear around being real with our squad currently and how Madge picks players in positions.

Do you think Madge will pick Toa over Laurie, Noffa, JTJ, Gildart or Ken anytime soon (meaning they get demoted not via injury) let alone TT and AJ once they come back from injury?

But yes I do think To'a can be picked ahead of our centres. How many tries have they scored or assisted? If we start winning then they're safe, if we keep losing then there will be changes

That's the talk, it's going to be very very interesting how their roster looks over the next 2yrs..... I would be going hard at some of their young talent (because they have some good ones) as bringing in these players on large salaries is going to bite.

Think Madge is simply one dimensional in his coaching style...sturdy defence plus one out running.
Works when youve got a pack full of Burgesses/TEO/Stevens with kicking halves like Reynolds and Sutton...8 man rugby League effectively
Got him a premiership,but unsustainable..particularly if the game speeds up as it has.Siebold set their backs free
Madge is a good guy,but limited...and at the core of our attacking issues
..and next the players stop defending as they realise its a lost cause

Who knows. I don't see Brooks staying in the halves. He may a decent hooker/utility. Use his left foot straight from the ruck like Robbie did. If he does well it could help make him now attractive for other clubs too.

We have payed him far too much to be a Utility. He is on 900k+.

As a Utility, I think he would be great. Yet I see Laurie or Gildart becoming that role.

As a Hooker, I did a hooker count and realized we were getting close to 6. Do we fire Liddle and Simpkin?

The only other position I could see Brooks in is Fullback, but that would require A LOT of training. Laurie's biggest problem is that experience and defensive role a fullback can play. Junior Fullbacks miss that while Senior fullbacks can lack that speed/quickness. I would not now put Brooks at Fullback..... I can't see any alternative then him leaving the club or a great coach coming here.

Jock Madden shows promise, but he isn't fully ready for the role yet. We see this in the scoreline.

I wonder though about how many TPAs the Laundy group are able to organise. They are huge players in the business world. Maybe they will be like the Roosters in that regard.

There has to be changes if we keep getting towelled up.
We showed signs of improvement last week, but if we lose badly to the sharks then Madge has to pick the player who played below par and replace him.
Even if thats Noffa or one of our captains, so be it imo..
To'a needs to be given the opportunity to show what he's made of.

I wonder if the club has looked at Atkins as he can cover center and 2nd row and I think he plays quite well and would not blow the salary cap.
Just thinking outside the box and maybe ask Sims, Barnett ?
The longer we leave this the less players to choose from.. I still have faith in Sheens as he did get Papa and Api so fingers crossed
