Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I would be targeting these players for next year.
Matt Dufty
Taylan May
Angus Chrichton
Daniel Saluka Fafita.
Angus Chrichton is a gun.
According to unreliable Zero Tackle website, Angus isn't signed for next year.
If that's the case throw a good contract at him.

Sims is going to Melbourne. No announcement has been made as he will likely make the switch this year, Melbourne are just trying to making it work salary cap wise (the later he makes the switch, the less money Storm will need to pay).

Crichton has also agreed to stay at the Roosters, they are also sorting out the cap space before registering the contract I believe.

Good oil mate.
If true I'd rather they go to a top club than to our competition for the top 8

Any tigers related news?

Well probably till next annual board meeting at end of finacial year, he'll chair it and vote himself in.

Unfortunately nothing that I feel is worth sharing at this point in time. Sheens has taken control of all player movement (with consultation from Madge) and does not share too much. However, based on how the club has operated previously, this is a good thing. Rather than just going after anyone that is available, it finally looks like they are intentionally targeting players of need - much like the acquisitions of Api and Papalii. It's a waiting game at this point to see who comes available before the June deadline and at the end of the season.

So how does it work? Do sheens and Madge select players they want then have an open check book to sign the player on what they think he is worth or does it all have to be approved by the board?

Does anyone know how much money we have left to sign any new players for next year, with our brilliant half back being paid over a mill.

Plenty have worked out e.g Luke Lewis
Most players that could work out don't want to come to this destination (frustration) club eg. Luke Lewis.

They know that they would have to work their guts out to even have a remote chance of any sort of success at this club, so either they pass up on coming or if they do come, treat it as an early retirement and just go through the motions knowing that this is their last contract, why knock yourself out.

One would have hoped that Api and Papali'i signing would have opened the door for others to come, but while we are not winning games and copping crap in the media I just don't see this being something that is going to happen in a hurry and having new teams coming into the competition certainly doesn't make things any easier.

Penrith boy for life ud think
and the other problem is that he is a May, much to my dismay, just another one of the gangsta boys.

Isn't he currently on assault charges up in Queensland but the NRL allow him to play?

No fan of Milf (the Anthony kind) but that clown is still being dicked around by the NRL, couldn't get a contract signed off, not allowed to train with a club, no income for months and this still continues after all charges have been dropped by police. Now the NRL want him to jump through a few more hoops before he has a chance of continuing his playing career. Talk about double jeopardy.

Wasn't Jack De Belin allowed to keep his contract and train on full pay for a couple of years while he was facing much more serious charges. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't St.George even get some Salary Cap relief to sign another forward while De Belin was prevented from playing?

You would think that the NRL would be better after Turd Greenburg left but it's still a long way off being a level playing field and many finding that they are constantly running up hill while others get a rails run. (see what I did there and sorry about the rant.)
