I don’t know if you’ve noticed mate but we are struggling to sign good players. Fans like you who turn your nose up at origin players, well, good luck.

I think like a lot of us he doesn’t want to get stuck with another has been, and I reckon his assessment of Simms is pretty fair, he is also on the decline.

Maybe he is but 11 months ago he was good enough for origin and he’s tougher than our blokes. Might actually smash a halfback or two. Two year deal max. Can’t see us doing better tbh

Just watched the interview with Talakai and wasn't aware he made his NRL debut under Madge. Why haven't we gone for him?

I don't know mate. I like your train of thought, and believe we need some hard experienced players to lead us from the wilderness as other clubs have had successfully in the past, but just wonder whether Simms has it in him week in week out.

I certainly wouldn't put Sims in Packers mold.
Sims is still physically tough and fit. He'd be a good signing at the right price.
Understand people's fear of recruiting older players.
We've been burnt in that area before.

That's true, but then again if Luke Lewis came to present time in the same physical condition as when he went to the Sharks, I would pick him over Sims.

If Sims was in our team from round 1, he would probably be our best forward 🤔

I was also keen from the get go too. He’s not my favourite player but they are all on long deals.
