Pascoe

It seems to be part of Sheens' role now to engage the public, esp the media. But also it's never really been Sheen's MO to focus on fan / member engagement. He's a bit old school in that regard, preferring to make specific comments to the media and then ignoring the outside noise.

I reckon this is a better approach. It's what I would do. It'd piss off a certain section of the supporter base but who cares.

The reality is winning footy games is extremely different to giving a talk about your 5 year or whatever plan.

I wonder how many 5 year plans have been successful in rugby league. My guess is about 1% of the time it works and that is with hindsight.

I have considered withdrawing my small financial commitment to the club but it goes against my desire to see the club improve one day so I continue to just pay. That doesn’t mean I have any interest in travelling to watch this current team play. Wonder how many others like me are effectively just paying for the CEO to take family trips??
I stopped funding these fools about 6 years ago. I'll start up again if they ever get competent leaders.

Nobody could blame you either. If they didn’t always field a reserve grade side I’m sure lots of us fans would be keen to tip more in. But we’re flying and got all the cash we need apparently 🙄

Did anyone pick up in the Adam O'Brien's press conference about the rumour that Pongas deal had been taken off the table he was quite pee'd off about it and said how could it be our CEO in Hawaii on holidays at the moment where's all the hullabaloo about that at least Pascoe's spending his money in Australia

I can’t believe Justin has gone off on a holiday at such a dark time, for his pay packet, I expected better leadership. He can’t really blame fans for not attending games ever again.

Lee’s tenure as Chair seems to have been one of lurching from one catastrophic failure to the next.

He’s clearly incompetent to head a club. His decisions are poor and his explanations rubbish and easily disproven.

An example was the aborted sacking of Madge …..ridiculous theatre. Messy, unprofessional and hurt all involved. Much better ways of handling the coaching concerns without publicly tying a stick of dynamite to his back and watching him squirm.

Communications with the members is third world stuff. Accountability is non existent.

We should be luring a marquee ceo over from a successful club as a start.

When we climb out of this mess, I think it will be despite our management rather than because of it.

In other words - you can't avoid it. There's nothing Tigers can do to stay clean in the media except win a lot of football.
And that's the issue. The club is incapable of even being competitive on the field, and appears to be as far away from doing so as ever. Pascoe, as the leader of the organisation, has to bear responsibility for that.

That said, the fact that he happens to be in the top end right now couldn't be less relevant for all of that.

As many have posted already, if you’re not 0-5 then the job (expectedly) tends to come with less exposure…

We’re a tall poppy at our best, easier to try cut us

Sacking him for it is over the top . I agree and as I have stated it won’t affect the result on Monday. The timing is rotten tho .

The issue is he is the boss . CEO runs the organisation, the core business of the organisation is the footy and the team is stone motherless last with zero wins and possibility of the coach being sacked in the next few weeks.

It’s just not a good look based on where the team is languishing and him and the board should have realised it was going to gain media traction .

It just provides ammunition to those that believe the front office is a mess and yes that does affect the footy team somehow. Look at storm , roosters admin , look what a different club the eels are since they got rid of factions .

The deed is not the issue the optics is the issue which points to culture issue at the entire club
Exactly
Some have their heads in the sand, or up their arse

So Pascoe goes on Holidays and is rubbished for it, yet the Newcastle CEO is holidaying in Hawaii all whilst this Ponga saga is playing out and nothing is said.
Sack the Knights CEO, we don't care about that Humpty Dumpty. 🤣

The Channel 9 Footy Show spent minutes on the negatives of Pascoe etc - fair reporting is a distant memory!
