Chris Bowen and his carbon tax, people of the Hunter be wary. People of W.A. start asking questions on how the carbon tax will affect them
Albo might have long covid and not come out of isolation so he doesnt have to answer questions.
Ask Richie Marles he can answer it... oh wait

Peter Dutton marks Anzac Day by again comparing China and Russia to Nazi Germany before World War II

Fancy using Anzac day for this.

After reading this crap wondering do I sign up or wait to be called up lol.

Dutton is a complete nutter and does Australia more damage each and every time he flaps his gums.It is his government that stuffed up in the Solomoms nobody else.To be honest i think he is positioning himself to be the "tough guy" who can lead the liberals after the election with a little reds under the bed rhetoric.Taking a threatening attitude will do Australia no favours in the future

No mention of Bowen's Carbon tax on 215 big emitters. Can Bowen and Marles get the story straight on a carbon tax. Perhaps they can wait for Albo to come out of covid isolation to answer since nobody can get the story straight

Your reference to reds under the bed gave me a huge laugh. Thank you!

This Govt is so bad. Do you think the Solomons would be threatened by Scumo and Dutton's sabre rattling. Scumo has drawn a line in the sand which he will promptly shift when challenged.

Because it is a dark ages conversation and inconsequential in comparison to the cost of doing nothing.

Please don't come with the coal workers crap, as we will be exporting that for years regardless and we already let the entire car industry of some fifty thousand workers collapse.

Nobody is stopping new coal fired power plants here, but even the current ones are closing based on simple economics and it might even be cheaper to just give the affected ones a million each on top of installing renewable projects around the townships.

Yeah, though quite sad that they only had the choice of a far right candidate and the other just missing the far bit.

Good still that Macron acknowledged he only got so many of their and others votes because of his competition being a terrible human. Now it is time for him to act on his words.

Them seeing their fellow youth and the entire country across the channel in the United Kingdom suffering, including financially as a result of bigoted, racist, nationalist and boomer votes that allowed Brexit, would also certainly have encouraged them to have their say.

To be fair, a lot of decent people voted against there own good because they were fooled by the greatest charlatans in the country, including their now PM Johnson who changed his position on Brexit for the chance of attaining huge power. He will likely be removed by parliament in the coming weeks, but leaves a trail of destruction behind, whilst still in the EU Ireland thrives.

What do people think of the United Australia Party ? I am not Shaw who to vote for this time and liberal and labour seems to be bad options
Vote for whomever you chose, though I see your concern for and sending assistance to people in another thread and I find it hard to reconcile how you could vote for Clive Palmer's party.

You will almost certainly end up sending your vote to Liberal in the lower house and not dissimilar in the upper house anyway if voting that way.

at least Albo admitted in radio today that there will be no carbon tax
contradictory to what Bowen said but oh well they dint call him each way Albo for nothing

Labor has NEVER had a carbon tax, but lost an election largely based on the lie that they did created by Abbott and Credlin, then peddled by Murdoch and Stokes etcetera.

The only major party going into this election with a carbon tax policy is Morrison's coalition who has billions of our Tax dollars set aside to give to polluters, on top of that already given to them.

Amongst his $300m Northern Territor energy spendfest the other day, he announced another tax dollar gift of $130 Million to gas company giants to sort out their crap. That on top of exploration tax dollars from earlier, when we only get some 3% of the gas royalties that Qatar receives from similar exports.

Bowen Albo and little Ritchie can't even work out if there will be a carbon tax or not. Hopefully voters in WA do not trust them along with the hunter

UAP will be a vote for the Libs likewise Greens are a vote for Labor
This may lead to hung parliament
Hopefully voters go with either liberal or Labor and let either party govern if elected and not have a make deals with UAP Greens or One Nation to get legislation passed.

It is basically irrelevant noise, just as the conflicting statements of Morrison and the opposite from Canavan, along with others are on Net Zero. Sideshows for those that rely on rhetoric.

The focus should be on debt, policies and performance, along with higher taxation levels. On most any measure the coalition fails when compared to the previous government on their relative rating positions in the OECD. Including being worst on expansion of national debt since coming into power in 2013.

This week we had Morrison come out with a "tax guarantee" of 23.9%, which equates to a deficit of some 4% budgeted into the future. If the coalition lose, they will again leave Australia with a structural deficit, just like they did in 2007, only worse this time around.

I cannot understand the fear of a true representative democracy under a preferential voting system, with those from across the political spectrum working together to pass good policy.

The Gillard minority government was most effective, passing more legislation than any other, including critical policy on climate and creating the NDIS, along with infrastructure spending that wasn't based on party based colour coded spreadsheets.

I have no issue with independents being involved in creating the nation's future, along with the Greens and even the likes of One Nation that represent people very different from me. Palmer's UAP is another story as they are basically a false flag operation.
