Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The Pom update may have disappointed some as there were no big names close to signing, but it did highlight they have a long term plan and are not going for a short term fix. The fact that they are looking for young talent blocked in good systems is heartening. Also they are sticking to their guns and not been pressured by players requests for longer deals.

This rebuild phase was always going to be a long road

On Liddle wonder if we could look for a player swap of sorts and if so I would be looking at the options with the Raiders & Manly for forwards, Panthers & Eels for backs. Even if we get a young kid who will grow with what we are building it still would become a benefit.

Might be a chance he said this in today's Telegraph

“But I am in no rush to sign the deal. I just want to be patient and make sure I make the right decision.”

Get what's in the media but I don't see it unless a club makes him an offer far too good to refuse which is kinda going against the grain in a good way for us atm.

But he specifically wants to play 6, otherwise he would just continue to play second row at Manly. That's the whole reason he's unhappy according to reports.
Maybe, but I think his days in the six or over apart from a fill in role and being unhappy had as much to do with them not honouring an agreement as to actually playing there.

Then there is the dollars paid to certain positions, though see him similar to Doueihi, with plenty of skills, but a future outside the halves as the sum of their qualities and drawbacks is better suited elsewhere.
