Tuilagi NO TRY..

Lomax should've gone for 10. Clear foul.
If you watch it slo mo Kelma still had fingers on the ball.
Refs/bunker 🐈
I'm baffled.
Just wait for Annesleys apology tomorrow.

Yeah I just watched a slo mo of the slo mo and can confirm 💯 it was a try. The two hands on the ball are both Tuilagi’s but the photo doesn’t tell the full story as the hand on top actually came away from the ball. This is why the video ref understandably rules knock on. The problem though is that the hand underneath never left the ball. It’s gripped tight the entire way down as the ball is planted, constituting a try. That probably explains why it looked like a try live.

At the very least the video footage is inconclusive and the referees decision of a try on field should have been respected imo. I could understand if the referee on field had said no try and the video referee goes with that, but even looking at the footage I would say that's a try. I find video referees to be very frustrating.

I think this is the second try we've been dudded in two close games that we've lost. Definitely not the reason we lost either, but it's annoying that the review system isn't working well in games when it should.

Note also we had to use three captain's challenges today against incorrect referee decisions.

Our luck is going to turn one day.

I think he bounced it, but there was millimetres in it. However, if you're going to penalise Lomax for the tackle in the area, surely you can conclude that the foul play was at least significant enough to lead to Tuilagi dropping the ball millimetres short. So it really should've been a penalty try. Criminal that it wasn't.
