Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Penrith probably have an off field role gift wrapped and ready for him. I don't care how well he's done over the last few weeks. The fact it's taken until round 7 in his second year to figure out he's here to play footy isn't enough to extend his pension contract with us.
Yeah there is no guarantee he won't score his final contract and then kick his feet up again. There's not much to hate about the way he's playing right now though

All players did not cost Storm big money when they came across.

Aiken and Tapine in my opinion would strengthen our 2023 team and hoping Aiken can transfer mid season as we need a centre/second rower option better than we currently have.

The difference is Tapine would cost big money. He is a good player but I can't see Melbourne paying him top dollar.

IMO end of the year is the perfect time to swap Brooks for someone good.

You post is a good one but how often does this happen. How many swap deals occur in the league ? It's so rare.

I honestly can't think of any. We've had Momo swap with Grant but it was a short term trade. It was also unique at that time.

He is an ok 6 but I think Brooks speed complements Hastings 7 better
He is a solid centre and at a pinch a fullback if need to be
Is he a 13 potentially in a Cameron Murray and Yeo type role ? except he does not defend well enough
He is a good goal kicker but so is Hastings
I get he is a good captain and voice but he doesn't have a specialist spot in the team that he really owns. He is kind of a jack of all trades

I love Doueihi as a player but it's hard to know where to play him. I think he is a better player than Brooks though.

Momo is so overrated on here. He is a fringe first grader. He does a lot of things right but he is also a small slow outside back.
I agree that he is not Inglis, Manu, or Hodges but he was picked by Storm, Panthers (both won championships), and Rorters!
What I am saying is, he is miles better option than our current/past centres. Exhibit 1, none of our recent centres was offered to play for the Storm, Panthers or Rorters😉

Tommy T was wanted by Melbourne....

Momo is probably a 5/10. Roberts/Talau/Kepaoa are probably 4/10 with the latter 2 having a higher ceiling than Momo.

Yeh, so many backs want to play half or fullback these days. There was an old back rower at roosters who played every position in the backline except half, Andy Norvel I think? If he were playing today he would surely think about playing 7🤣
I have a theory that the reason there is a lack of genuine centres is because the good centres either want to play fullback or 5/8

anyone mentioning matterson coming back is a goldfish, the bloke was a benchie who came here and became one of the better edges in the comp, madge spoke to Freddy and got him in the NSW squad then he goes and thanks madge by trying to cause trouble in the playing group and walking out on us refusing to play, guys an arrogant, vein flop and deserves exile from the nrl.
