If it were a Luke Lewis type player who had such a profound impact upon the Cronulla club I would say yes. Unfortunately I don't see that in Chrichton but he may become a consistent player at WTs.

we have a plethora of young hookers. Koroisau buys us time but the time will come when we need to work out which 2 or 3 are worth investing within.

Simpkin, Ngatikaura, Tannous, Anjoul, Valevatu and Da Silva all vying for spots in future. good problem to have

Players should sign Wests Tigers as their player managers so they can get the best possible deal when negotiating contract renewals.

Win win for all concerned, Wests Tigers make 7% commission on all the players that reject their offers and players have their contract values/terms maximized.

Player walks in and sees a view of shark park with centred table with a bucket of KFC on it
Player grabs the piece of chicken & is asked do you want to sign
Player responds "finger lickin good - give me more legs, less ribs & apartment 1028 instead"
Club agrees & hands over a refresher wipe with a tub of gravy

Was thinking the same thing, there will be a time we need to prioritise. Very stocked with quality young hookers.

I'd like to think that Simpkin uses this year, plus learning under Api to develop his game and become the number 9 for many years to come in Tigers colours. I think Ngatikaura's versatility will help him play multiple positions, so moving him around mightn't be a big thing. Tannous has that flair about him and keen to see the clubs plans for him. Haven't heard much of Anjoul since doing his ACL (is he back?). Haven't seen enough of Valevatu to comment.

At least Da Silva might be a couple of years behind this lot age wise. He can dominate Flegg while the others are dominating Cup (hopefully). Hookers tend to take a bit longer to hit 1st grade due to the demands of playing big minutes in the middle anyway.
 
Angus is a super star

He's top 5 second rowers in the game.
I like his attitude too.

He's the perfect complimentary player to match with iPaps.

Hard nosed and experienced those pair and would he good to mentor our young pack coming through.

I love it.
Hopefully Madge and Sheens get the job done.

I read Gildart was homesick. I don't think he will be here in 2023. It will be a mutual agreement that he return to ESL. Simpkins and Liddle already told they can leave. Wouldn't surprise if Peach gets the same tap on the shoulder. Seyfarth is struggling this year but Madge seems to love him.

The good thing about guys like Papalii and Blore is that they can easily shift into the mids, so I do believe we have room for one of Angus or Nikora but again we gotta get the salary cap right and make sure we don’t block this young brigade we having coming through. I think Simpkin and Da Silva are the two genuine hooking options long term. Unsure on what's going on with Anjoul at present but he hasn't featured too much due to injury.

Rua can play 9 and 13 as you said and would be a Brandon Smith-esque wrecking ball, whereas Tannous for mine is destined for the 14 role given his proficiency as a half, 5/8 and hooker. there's room for a few of them in both the starting 17 and the roster itself, it's just a matter of taking the right option.
 
A quick look at The Roosters and you can see the need for depth but at a staged level. After the retirement due to injury to Friend they had to call on the young guns Verrills and that household name Marschke and the young whelp Lussick. Each suffered from being bashed with countless injuries themselves and now the Roosters rely on born again Chook Watson and perhaps ageing Hutchison out of position. Lussick is gonski & there's only 1 other garden variety hooker left in the KOE 26yo journeyman Brad Keighran. I think the WestsTigers hooker depth is a positive.
