Just watching the Broncos touch up Manly (put a smile on my face) and I think our first focus is getting the forward pack right... We have some great players in the halves but without them creating room they are limited.. The games v Eel & Souths our forwards were outstanding and even though we have a lot out injured we competed and won.. Imagine we had a full team available with Hastings running the show..
IMO we need to get Angus C over the line and another big name forward..
We need our spies out Tomorrow in Brisbane to see if this meeting is actually happening..

Good back rowers are important but I think having powerful middles with a high work rate is even more important.

Musgrove and Tamou playing well has made a huge difference to our side. I also think if you take Paulo and RCG out of Parra they are barely a top 8 side.

Stefano has that, but I think we need another for next year with Tamou either gone or likely slowing down.

True, but you have to have genuine pace in the backs to capitalise on the work of the forwards. Our wingers are pedestrian.

Fair enough, just went off the NRL website without engaging brain. They were both signed before Papali'i and Koroisau, I believe - I wonder if their fans are saying "what have you done for me lately" re recruitment...

Its been widely reported he is roughly on that amount. Get your head out of the sand.
We've got madden, AD and jacko who can play in the halves. Sure they're not on inflated amounts. I like the young kid from the Warriors too, Chanel? Few hb out there who are stuck behind regulars,

It is very difficult to justify him being our highest paid player. He is not a consistent out and out game winner..

I like Brooks but not at a mil per year or anywhere near it.

The thing is Bones, with young players like Walsh who play really well is that they command more attention from the opposition and get shut down.
Teams know who's a threat and formulate ways to limit their influence.
Classic example is how well Hastings is playing.
In the first few rounds he's been terrific and the keystone of our team.
Now he is being forced to pass to crowded support players [just one observation].
The upside of this are players like Brooks and Simpkinsa are afforded less scrutiny.
So back to you observation on Walsh, he'll come good when he becomes more experienced. He's a talented footballer alright.

We have not one rep player and your wondering if we could afford Angus and keep our players. Lol your probably right though, Roosters, cowboys, Manly all have 4-5 800k plus players in Thier side and yet they never have a problem upgrading.

We can afford Angus another good prop and a centre.

We will get 400k for Mbye and a few other things. Brook is either gone or taking a pay cut the following year.

We are actually in a decent position for once.

He's probably one of the best goal kickers as well. I haven't seen a more natural kicker to be honest.

Nope. He’s overpaid but we win less games if Madden is your guy.

Reported doesn't mean it is true. The context is also important. If he is on that amount, is it due to his contract being backdated? He accepted less in earlier years? We don't know and it is only speculation that is used by the Brooks' posse to hit him over the head.

AD has spent a large portion of his time at WTs injured and he will be a year away from the date he returns to the field to be back to his best. As for Hastings, without Brooks there is no spark in the halves. Also, have the other teams now worked him out. He's been quiet the last few games.
