I seriously doubt it. Who are Tigers going to replace him with? The only ideas anyone can come up with are Flanagan, who is toxic, or John Morris with oversight. Both ordinary options. There's a reason Bulldogs have not already signed on a new coach - because there are no options.

So we change the coach once again in hope he can turn a squad of plodders into a champion team. For the first time in years we have two very good recruits coming for next year, we have a pathway system up and running. I can understand people frustration, but where is this coach who is going to make a difference.

I would run with Madge till at least mid year 2023. Of course if it gets really ugly over the next few months I might need a rethink

I was pro Madge til the end of 2021. I thought he should've gone then.

We are second last. Plenty of coaches out there who can improve on that. Don't care if they give it to flanno, Madge has had 4 years. Useless

Those comments from Sheens were interesting though. It's a business. The club needs to start making some big calls on retention.

We have 4 guys that can potentially play first grade in the halves. We need some forwards especially edge forwards and probably a prop or two.

I see recruitment and retention as much more important than replacing Madge.

Players need to know who the coach will be while contracted plus the club want a coach who can develop young guys into first grade. Think the knock on madge is he's trying to buy his way out of trouble.

Pivotal moment for the club the coach has to complement all the moving pieces.

If we’re judging Madge on results, this is the first year it should happen.

Can’t count the previous 3 years he was hamstrung by the mess Ivan left us in. Reynolds, Packer, Mbye all taking up a massive chunk of salary cap. Still paying Mbye this year but after that we are free of it, that’s why we can afford Api and Papali’i next year.

Wonder what this will mean for Koroisau. A big part of him coming to Wests Tigers was he wanted to be coached by Madge. So much so that he apparently has a get out clause in his contract if Madge isn't coach.

Last 4 games conceded 152 pts 38 per game and he talks about bright patches last few weeks?. 9th,11th,13th 15th can't be acceptable .Dont see many viable mid season options .Mr Sheens maybe what cronulla did mid last year .Assistant as temp and Ciraldo /Woolf from October. But please get us one or two more big signings for next year as two not enough

Flanagan changed the Sharks by getting them on a doping program and being over the salary cap every year he was there. That was his claim to fame.

The club is following the same system. There are plenty of dopes in this club.

Iam not so pro Madge, more I don’t see the point in flicking coaches when the new coach will have basically the same plodders at his disposal. Okay if Bellyache wanted the gig or a coach that could actually attract players to the club maybe that would be different

Here is a thought, that Liddle is a good hooker who is just not suited to Maguire's style of play. I think it is possible because imo Maguire style of coaching is not suited to WTs.

If we are going to go for a new coach I hope they start thinking out of the box a little and take a shot with someone. No to Flanagan and Green (premiership winners). Let’s find a young coach with fresh ideas. They may get more out of this group.
