I think if he gets through this we have to back him for next year aswell no point sacking him at the end of the year we need to know who our coach is going to be in the future so we can recruit players

Probably give him like 6-8 games next season if he does survive the 22 season

That's the argument I'm making about Penrith. Get that crop of players at any club, and they're probably winning a premiership. That's no gauge on any assistant coaches ability.

Not sure if this is a popular opinion but I believe having a mortgage on the best young talent coming through is more important to a club than having a quality coach. When you have the best in the game playing at your club you become more of a man manager than a coach.

Paws, Morris jumped in there 2019-21 when the Sharkies had,
Katoa, Johnson,Moylan,Feki, Dugan, Chad Townsend, Fafita, J.Brailey, Prior, Nikora, Capewell, Gallen, B. Brailey, Bukuya, Woods, Hamlin-Uele, Jesse Ramien, Wade Graham, Toby Rudolf Talakai, Kennedy, Mulitalo, Connor Tracey, Williams and some more I've probably missed a few..
I confident if Madge had that roster he could've matched or surpassed Morris efforts.

Woolfe had those blokes believing in what he was trying to do. I think that in itself is more than what Madge has achieved with this group in 4 years. There's a distinct lack of belief with nearly all of them bar Hastings.

Brooks went from a Daly M position winner at halfback as we're so often reminded to until he got dropped from the halfback role, wasn't playing at a level worthy of NRL. I blame a lot of that on the coach

First of all who cares what he did to convince those players to turn down big money...its a cut throat game and more fool them for not taking the money....
Secondly you are a long way from the truth about what Madge has achieved with this GROUP,it wasnt his group to start with it was Clearys wanna be NRL players he paid big money for and left them and US high and dry..
Thirdly Madge has backed Brooks evey single time to lead this team around the park...he has proven he is incapable,hence the team play better with Jacko at the helm...
Lastly I have no problem if someone has a problem with Madge,but at least be fair when you have an input and provide facts instead of what you want and not what the team needs...this piss poor mob needs a hard leader,and in my books thats Madge,the rest is fantasy....

Every single member of our squad was signed or re-signed by Madge. And we've got worse every year. Agree about Jackson. I wasn't defending Brooks, just pointing out that under Madge he's also become a worse player

In public like we have done, if there was something to do about nothing you wouldnt even hear about it. I havent heard of any others announcing mid season reviews certainly not out in the media. In saying that im sure there are clubs doing them, i just dont see him surviving and im pretty sure its 98% down to the coach the review.
 
Our problems at the moment are widespread, but I don't think for a minute that a change in coach will change our fortunes. However, if the club decides to make a change we simply need.to get on board.

It took a long time after sandpapergate for the Aussie cricket team to turn around its fortunes if you have seen the doco you will have seen the pain they went through to make change happen. Trying too hard at times meant they went backwards but the hard work paid off. Slater was eventually moved on but not until after the changes were made. The same with our Wests Tigers. Painful as shit as a supporter but the boat is finally changing direction.

We aren't hearing leaks from the club and like or hate the Chairman he is playing a straight bat with the media. This means the media have to make shit up to fill the void

The outwards message from the players is of support for each other and Madge. There aren't leaks at player or staff levels in the club so everyone has bought into the Madge/Sheens model.

We have some decent players returning from injury and the effort areas for the most part have improved over last season. Wins at this point in the season will only be one KPI that Sheens looks at. He will understand the level of player, coaching and support staff unity and he is smart enough to know if what we are sarting to see is going in the right direction.

We as supporters should be excited at the club doing a mid season review. Just because other clubs don't or haven't done one preciously shouldn't be a yardstick. We need to lead, not follow, if we are going to change.

Perhaps this thread really reflect disharmony in the supporter base as opposed to what we think may be happening in the heart of the club. Sheens has a plan and a mandate. Let's leave it to him to make the right decision next week and get on with supporting the club instead of trying to run it down from inside.

I'm afraid mine is just another opinion from the outside though. For me it is simple. Get on board with the decision next week and let.the media fill the void with shit instead of us.

No ..Brooks was overhyped to start with ,he won Dally M when most halfbacks that year were poor...Madge has signed or resigned most of these blokes,but it takes time to develop the young guys,Star ,AJ,Stef,Jake Simpkins let alone the injuries to AD,Laurie as well as the seniors working better this year Offa,J tamou,Luci (who I think is playing injured just as Ken M is...
So in summation we really arent at a level playing field to get rid of Madge just because we arent where most want us to be...

That's because other clubs aren't played out in the media like WT, why would other club announce reviews.
We announced it to save face, that's the debacle side of it.
I'll spew if those wally board members sack Madge, it will make us look worse in my opinion.
