Another point - it is disgraceful that Phil Gould is able to use his position in the media to manipulate coaching recruitment and retention at other clubs for his own clubs benefit.

Absolutely man, I mentioned this the other day…how can this bloated fool spread unsubstantiated rumours, likely untruths, when he has such a clear conflict of interest? The NRL should step in and whack this bastard, as his comments are likely to adversely affect our power in the recruitment market.

My issue with the recruitment of a new coach is; the problems here stem not from the coach but from management so why would any self respecting coach come here?

I’m hoping the club has turned a corner and letting Tim sheens handle all things football what ever he ses goes doesn’t matter what the board ses it’s our only hope going forward

Surely we havent offered an unproven coach a 5 year deal?
Surely we aren’t so close minded that only a “development coach” which is a bullshit term btw, will be the reason to lock this bloke in and not chase proven talent?

Supposedly we have a great pathways system, filled with development coaches, tasked with bringing young kids through to men. Why does our head coach have to be a “development “ guy? These players are going to come from 13’s through to grade in a system and handed over to the NRL team to mold into successful professional footballers. Our head coach needs the skills to turn the raw product into the finished product. He doesn’t need to be tickling the balls of some 15year olds, telling them all their dreams will come true if they do some extra pushups….

Let's spin it this way. After watching sheens interview ciraldo would be crazy not to take a 5 year deal at the tigers. Points

1. Best if not one of the best head of football in the game. Tim sheens who won't medle in selections

2. Salary cap best it's been in 5 yrs. Heaps of space next year

3. State of origin quality hooker and second rower next year

4. Jackson Hastings at the club. Say no more

5. Best junior squad coming through in 20 yrs

6. Ciraldo knows the west and how it ticks

7. 5 year plan. No pressure 2023 and 2024 can implement what every system he wants

8. New facilities

It's a no brainer for him. He would be crazy not to take it. This club is a sleeping giant. Finally it has a plan...

Absolutely we have the biggest geographical junior base.

Now the shouting, swearing, rants and pseudo army training drills have left the dressing sheds, how are those forum members who believe some of our players are soft etc going to feel if the new coach has a more measured approach to our playing roster? I am referring to a coach who has the attention of the players in the shed, speaks in measured tones without all the other crap. Thoughts?
