Hey TT, you're obviously a very loyal person and someone who I would like to have in the trenches next to me. Whilst we disagree on Madge, when he was coach I wanted nothing more than for him to succeed because I just wanted the club to succeed. I can see by your post that you feel something similar regarding Noddy. Time will tell whether you were right and the club made a big mistake sacking Madge. In the meantime I know we both will be cheering on the team today.

IMO Cleary was the right coach . And I honestly believe he was trying to get his son here . But when that happened , he chose his kid over his reputation and our club. Not to mention other podcasts , who have coaches who usEd to coach our junior teams , basically saying things like we let the good juniors go, refuse to pay good money for them , won’t support the junior coaches , which is why we were a shambles .
that’s all changed in October last year with the changes , and finally some coin pumped into the juniors after what 21 years ? Ridiculous.
The messaging I’m now focusing on is this new one that we are privately owned .
If so put your money where your mouth is , because I’ve heArd the club gets at least 1 consortium a year try and buy it.

ithink all things are true is what I’m saying . I think the board are a bunch of morons . I think Pascoe is a dope when it comes to footy .
I also think he’s really good with money . I also think they all should stay the hell away from football operations .
I think we as a club have failed our juniors and pathways .
I thing Madge , whilst a champion bloke , is a guy who gets you from summit to the peak . Because his style is tiresome , especially if your not getting results . People tolerate that shit , in everyday life , if they guy doing it is achieving results . As soon as that stops the knives come out .
Finally I think sheens is one of the smartest men in football , and has forgotten more about the game than 99% of coaches or people have ever learned . But I think it’s obvious , that X and O in 22 , is a young mans game .
the people are in place in the pathways , the football operations sound like it no longer has Johnny come latelys giving their 2 bobs , and finally we have elite strength and conditioning, as well as recovery . As one of my bug bears with that is , how come the elite teams always seemed to be able to back up from a big game on Sunday , with another one on Friday . hydro pools , chambers , elite physiotherapy , and elite facilities has to play a factor .
sorry about the rant . I just think all things are true at the same time . The club has failed because of failures within, external of the coach , but the coach has failed . He just has . 3 and a half years guys . Thats a long time .

The board were responsible for the bringing of the right people and managing things properly.

We’ve shuddered from one crisis to another and the results (over the last few years especially) speak for themselves.

A golden duck.

The buck stops with them.

To make people accountable except yourself and the board is disingenuous and promotes trust issues.

That’s why people won’t cop it.

That’s not rhetoric, that’s reality.

I don’t think Lee couldn’t have spoke any better seriously

Looks like the club has acknowledged that Pascoe and Lee have absolutely no clue about football so they have hired 1 of the greatest football minds of all time in tim sheens

Seriously I don’t think these guys get enough credit for hiring Tim sheens

That’s every single board at every single company though lol . They’re usually faceless men , who make decisions that mean a whole bunch of people beneath them are accountable but not them .
Name me one company that operates differently .
Eg . Restructuring so everyone beneath the Executive office loses any bonuses or performance perks , but not them .
That’s not a made up story , that’s a lot of companies.
These people are never accountable . Only middle management are .
The only ones who are , are places like parramatta that are run by voting members .
We are a private company with a license from the nrl .
If anything these people are distancing themselves from the operations of the club. Which seems like a way to not be accountable , and it probably is , but at very least it means football people can run a football club .
Which probably hasn’t happened ever before .

If Ciraldo signs on for 5 years, I'm pretty sure there will be performance and contract clauses for 2,3 and 5 years.

Morris is the coach we need, he understands our club and has proven he can take on the pressure.

The results aren’t quite in for Tim yet.

There’s little to rely upon results wise at the moment.

If we continue to get belted this year and we don’t get a decent coach, Madge’s axing will be seen as a mistake.

People are making assumptions, it’s an emotional time, I get it but we must see if his plans come to fruition.

Don’t get me wrong, I truly hope so, but facts don’t care about our feelings.

Nobody knows.

What we do know is the board aren’t accountable and don’t admit mistakes. That’s not the best for mine. I’d prefer they own their errors, like must of us do at work. Then we learn and move forward.

And I pity any club who tries to replicate our management model because based on results, it’s a total and absolute failure.

The main reason our club is considered a basket case is how we look after our players eg, long term injuries like tuaki an the like, and how we look after outer club legends like benji and Farah. Seriously as a player looking to come to us and seeing how we treated our legends at the end of their careers, would u come here??? I totally disagree with the hate for Pascoe, he has totally fixed our back of house financially, got us a centre of excellence, getting an academy in Campbelltown, and as most of u wingers said he doesn’t have the football knowledge. So he then employees sheens for that side of the equation. But that’s then not good enough and u white ant him for not being involved enough?!!

yeah for sure you make some very valid points but you have to admit you have a lot more confidence in Tim sheens making the rite calls over Pascoe and Lee

yes we don't give them enough credit for absolving themselves of responsibility, they gave Cleary the keys to the castle and now we've gone all in for Sheen's, are they repeating their mistake?.

I heard Lee say that Madge got every player he asked for, then why did we sack Hartigan, why has Sheens replaced him with someone who has a history of failure. Our recruiting in the last 4 years is arguably the best we've ever had which in itself isn't great, but its better that anything Sheen's did in the past. So if I read Lee correctly Madge didn't want Addo-Carr, TPJ and Latrell.

I understand the decision to let Madge go, I supported him staying, we all saw the improvement this year and I'm sad he didn't get to build on it, but in the end he didn't get the results to save his job. My issue though is what about the board, their ineptitude, and continued arse covering, even now let's put in all on Sheen's and if he fails we can blame him. When will the board be made accountable

I don’t think he ment it like that I think he ment they Madge had a say in every player they signed or resigned

I get the negativity 10 years of fail is hard to cop I’m not sure why but I always find my self defending the club in there decisions

He said no player was signed without Madge’s blessing and authority.

I invite people to listen to it again.

He threw Madge under the bus as hard and fast as he could and then later praised him for taking his sacking like a man.

What Lee can’t do is extricate his and the boards role in the absolute unmitigated disaster of the last decade and now we are expected to pony up for yet another dream. Another roll of the dice. Ffs.

I just want Lee to admit he has nfi and his board have all the skills of the sailors on the bridge of Titantic.

Once he admits his faults and the past incompetence, he can then talk changes with a straight fedora.

Otherwise, it’s next level spin and any good work we’ve done is overshadowed by complete distrust and suspicion.

No competent NRL coach needs 42 weeks to prepare to take the reins and as I’ve said, the new coach is stuck fast with most of Madge’s squad anyway.

If Noddy can perform, yes, it will be proven to be the correct decision and yep, I hope so.

I would say the bridge crew on the Titanic showed more competence than the board and management of WT.At least Captain Smith went down with his ship,Lee and his fellow bilge rats are the first to get on the lifeboats leaving a scapegoat or 2 to wear the blame.Business as usual for those blokes
