Wests Tigers Coaches

Was it said somewhere that 2 coaches have applied
Cc toured facilities is 1and haven’t walker bros said they will take on any nrl team.
If we get knocked back by cc then walker’s it is. I would like to see them get a crack but have a feeling that they wouldn’t make it past the mid year review

I think Ivan Cleary recent health scares may see him move into another role at Penrith with CC taking over as Coach in 2023.

Can't see CC being WT coach now with the latest developments.

John Morris appears next cab off the rank?

Are we really so desperate to sign CC or is this just a media beat-up. I hope it's a media beat-up.

For anyone who saw 100% footy on Monday

To me pretty much rules out the dogs for ciraldo

Gus pretty much showed no faith in Ciraldo saying that he’s too young to take on a coaching gig (developmental club esp) and that he should stay at Penrith as he’s unproven and needs to undertand that there’s more to coaching - but then at the same time wants him as the HC for the dogs…..

Doubting a potential candidate advising him not to take the job, would make Ciraldo feel so safe with his job security if he doesn’t get results pretty quickly if he was to take the dogs job

I think it’s either us or Penrith…. the challenge of taking the tigers to the top 8 can be on of the biggest for a coach in the last 20 years, I get the inkling Ciraldo sees the potential and wants to be the guy to do it and defy the odds - hence why he took the tour and was reportedly very impressed

Or he can continue to be in Ivan’s shadow for another 5 years at least
Didn't watch it as I think Gus lies to benefit himself... I think he knows he is not getting him and doesn't want us to get him either.. Always an agenda with him.

I don't think so dude. Hasn't Cleary got a DVT? Serious but not life-ending.
DVT: Deranged Vapid Tosser Syndrome.

Backed Tyrone May to the very last insult of his hapless helpless victim.

Screwed her life up forever that sick minded punk.

Lee did a good job bringing justice to the matter, I salute him for that.

Made May account for his putrid perverted dickheaded deviancy.

Panther success is built on cowardice and bad character, led by Ivan and his behorned bastardry.

I for one will never recognise their premiership under Ivan the Horrible.

All said, most sincerely, I’m glad he’s he’s alive and returning to normal etc, nothing personal.

That is my honest opinion.

Let's all be honest in here no jokes do you honestly believe it will only take 5 Years ? At least 7 years if we pick and stick with the best 17/18 kids and they don't leave at 25 they should be ready
I thought it would take 5 years to turn us into a top 8 side, but that was 3 years ago now. And now, I’m not so sure? What happened to all those promising juniors we had 3 years ago? I try to remain high spirited and look for a positive outcome, but the reality is we’re getting more laughs than Jerry Seinfeld.

Or Gus could be playing the media game, take the heat off to give CC some privacy.

Please no to Walker Bros.
We will be looking for a new coach in 12mths, even their blurb "set 12mth KPIs" was very much now win focus & not on development.

If CC is a no then Morris or Woolf are probably next in line or we hammer Payten, be stuck in Limbo for 12mths.

I'm not convinced that Morris would want come back to coaching or if he is the right fit for us.

Don't see Flanno coming into it.

Shitpost. Go have a bex and lay down

It was a good post with a strong message and I stand by it.

If blokes abuse women, I think they need a shirt fronting.

In this case, Ivans stony silence was not good enough. Waves it all through and hides away.

Sometimes I work with victims of domestic violence and I’m not wearing it.

Brandy was furious, Luke Lewis stood up too.

She asked the guys not to film her and not only did they film her, they uploaded it to www. Now she’s mentally ill.

May and the Clearys aren’t the victims in this.

That’s my honest opinion.

CC has obviously been in talks with us for a few weeks (months even) and toured the facilities at the beginning of the week. Does anyone think he'd really make a decision to decline by the next day? He'd take his time making a decision, talk to his family etc on top of his day to day role with Panthers. For someone who's been interested and admits there's potential here and is interested enough for a face to face to suddenly say no just doesn't fit the timeline.

Most likely Gus and faceless nobody 'writers' making stuff up.

And Ivan will be fine and has a long term deal that Panthers won't consider changing for some time.

I like Flannagan,he's tough, and is in close contact with the modern game. Morris i also like , but could he handle the pressure that the current poor roster would put on him is a worry. Cirraldo is a risk with a 5 yr contract, but i think the reasoning is that he will attract a lot of the Penrith juniors to join him . I know that many players want to win premierships and represent , but i believe the average life of a NRL first grader is about 6 yrs, I'm sure all player managers would point that out, and even with the Dolfins on board , the Cowboys, Penrith, and Broncos will not be able to keep all of their young talent in the next 2 yrs. We must keep player space and money, and be ready to buy.

Gus will click is fingers and CC will come running.
They been tight for a decade.
The job here is tainted. Ivan won't be giving us a wonderful review.

I just don't see it happening with Gus lurking for a coach and talent pool at Penrith he can choose from.

My thoughts with Flanagan is that the job of turning the tigers around still isn’t done. I can’t see blooding a few rookies that have played together in their juniors being the difference maker to our success.
I still feel we need these players to be playing with the attitude required to and hold themselves to that account to be contenders in this comp. And that mostly directed at the forward pack. In my estimation we’ve probably put together 2 good games together in a row this season; this is in terms of our forwards effort, application and output.
I would like to see a consistent 11 games to see the season out before I’m convinced the team is ready for a rookie coach.
I’m not talking ability; purely attitude.
