Wests Tigers Coaches

Gus said on Sunday night that he’d be very surprised if Ciraldo doesn’t remain at Penrith for 2023.
Also said that knowing Ciraldo, he wont be making a decision anytime soon. The guy is very measured and he’ll take his time to weigh everything up.

Well the club needs a plan b and should be leaking a plan b, to hurry him along and save face if he rejects us.

Otherwise we face another Latrell humiliation and they’ll be rioting on the streets and people will torch the club.

Actually, strike that last one, the club has already been torched!

@Merlot and I have a suspect.

Some learned and compelling deductions from the panel here this morning. I duff my fedora!

I just hope hope Lee has been reading!

Having his coco pops, reading the threads and taking notes.
LOL hard to see what else is happening in Tiger Town. Might be out recruiting for the fairer sex team.

If it true that CC is staying at the panthers , and it will only be for 1 reason , he wants to walk into a glamour club , plant his arse down and not have to work two hard . In that case he is a weak person and we are better off without him.
But just think if he came and got the tigers into the finals next year , he would be able to say he is a good coach not a coach who doesn’t take any risks .

I keep saying this, if he has doubts then it's probably best we avoid him. Simply because head coaching the Tigers is probably in no way similar to being an assistant at Penrith.

The Board wanted Ciraldo during the first review if we are to believe the rumours circulating at that time. Maguire survived because Ciraldo wasn't ready to come at that time. Maguire has been let go so what are we to deduce from this?
You are right, the board agreed to sack Madge and sign Ciraldo last year, only problem was Ciraldo wasn't onboard with it at the time, so they crapped their dacks and let Madge stay. One would hope they had their ducks in row this time round, but it is the Wests Tigers, so I am not that confident

Good point.
It shows a lack of faith in his own ability if all he wants is a cruisy transition from assistant coach into a head coach gig that is premiership ready.

Wouldnt trust a word that came from Gus's mouth he has a clear agenda particularly when it comes to CC.

Excellent:

And what an amazing resume entry for Ciraldo later on:

2018-2033
Assistant Coach Penrith Panthers inc.

I was assistant coach at Panthers when we one the flag once.

Durink my Tyne thar, I speshalized in in-play water bottle deployment an recovery with minimal spillage.

I have a water and Gatorade to plastic bottle mix rate of 10.6 secunds and which is 3rd of the Assistant Coach Board of Honour.

I wonder if there is a sports bettnig market for this.

My money is on the following:
1. Ciraldo to stay at Penrith with a view to Head Coach role in 5 years- I understand he's already being paid close to head coach salary
2. We sign John Morris
3. Madge signs with Bulldogs
4. Wolf to coach Warriors
I have had time to think this coaching job over,to me I dont care which of the likely candidates are chosen and how much better one is than the other..Plenty of forum members favour each individual over the other members choice, with varying reasons whether defense, development, man managers or experience in the coaching arena..
My one and only hope is that whoever the management of this club choose, the candidate has to develop our NRL squad so as it will be very competative week in week out and pick the most potential juniors coming through the pathways that want to play for the WTs NRL team as their major objective, that in itself could be difficult as other clubs offer bigger amounts of money to draw them to their club, however this is where its important to teach the youth to become one club players with incentives to keep them here..
I know its no easy task being a head coach, but success is what our main aim HAS to be for our immediate future..
Time and time again we are promised a great year ahead only to be left disappointed come seasons end,in reality when you look at the past decade we have been rebuilding year after year...The remainder of this year and next should virtually be the end of the rebuilds and the start of a solid platform for finals football in the very near future, this club can not rely on the excuse year after year that we are in a rebuild year, that reasoning should be shown the door as should some individuals throughout the club...
We got burnt with the likes of Packer & Reynolds who were at the end of their careers with major injury issues and whilst the competitive clubs throw everything at a gun player in their prime we are content to harbour everyone’s cast-offs for a similar outlay. We don’t chase hard for the pretty girl in the room for fear of rejection, merely content to wait until 3am to latch onto a fugly. However, when the beer goggles are removed buyers remorse starts to set in.
We did lash out for a pretty girl in Mbye but before long we realised he was a one-trick pony..looks can be deceiving without a discerning eye cast.
Sure, we chased hard for Latrell but he was always using us to buy him drinks until 3am then he went home with Wayne Bennett 🤮
Another injury-prone shopped to us yesterday in Nathan Brown from the Eels. This guy is in the Aaron Woods category - both former Tigers Captains (at varying levels) who thumbed their noses at us to walk away, now willing to return busted, looking for a new arm here, a new legs there - in some kind of Frankenstein sequel!
Charlie Stains who rejected our advances to re-sign with the Panthers not long ago now looking to usurp his old mate Dane Laurie for starting fullback role at the Tigers now that the Panthers have banished him to reserve grade - What The….?
Let’s evaluate the pretty girls at 7pm, tell them how ‘big’ and ‘long’ we are, tell them we are real estate moguls and our portfolio will soon include a ‘Centre Of Excellence’ - buy them another drink if they ask what that is, tell them how great they’ll look back in the dressing room attired in black, orange, white. We’ll save a fortune in drinks by going in ‘hard’ and ‘early’ .. to attract some top shelf talent that can ignite our juniors.
I’ll take Cameron Munster over The Adams Family any day!

With our roster, free agent options and the Dolphins needing players, the new coach is on a hiding to nothing. Madge must be quietly pretty happy.

Geez they didn’t make him watch Tales from Tigertown did they
JP might have been filling him in on the merchandise sales and how they have worked hard to have the flags straight on Game Day

In all seriousness, i think CC is interested, just don't have confidence that it will get over the line.

Don’t mention the flags 😂

I think WT is very different to anything he’s ever done, so it will all depend if he’s a gambler.
