I made that point earlier that whoever released the statement was wrong in adding the bit about NQ. The statement should have just been LL has requested an early release from his contract and WT have granted his request. Nothing more. Hopefully whoever put out the release got a kick up the behind.
I don’t read as much into it.
What we say in the press is not going to impact the realities of the contractual situation.
If they hadn’t checked his health and related, instead of agreeing, they could have said
“ thanks for letting us know, a couple of things to check, need to get the paperwork, a current health check and formalities together and we will get back to you”
But it seems they panicked and after checking their books, duly agreed to take him.
So between the clubs, that’s the info we had, we knew LL was ready to go and we went ahead announced it.
Also in contract, our conduct reflected our intent per the agreement and we want to push it through and not be liable for him anymore when we don’t want him anymore.
So it’s still my view that nothing to see at Concord.
