Wests Tigers Coaches

Our roster sub standard especially the pack .you can't put that on a coach who's been there 2 weeks .The Roster is on Sheens .Between the nrl and cup squads can't come up with 17 pass marks. Tim please recruit NOW!!

Lots of people I know don't go to as many games....
They had 2 years of not being able to go to games and filled that space with other life choices.

I've got many things wrong over the years, but like you I was bitterly disappointed when Payten left the club. He was earmarked as a future coach when he was playing, experienced success with the u20 team and loved the club. And he still does. If we could get him back it would be a massive coup.

Madge couldn’t do anything in the first 2 years due to cap issues and there wasn’t a lot of options last year and this and we are still paying Mbye. Madge had them playing above their ability all the years he was here. The coach was never the issue.

You need to look at the interference and mismanagement from higher up in the organisation for the reasons of our failures of the last 11.5 years. It was never the coach.

Oh cmon I liked Madge but to say it was never the coach that’s ridiculous.

I like Payten always have but do think he would’ve struggled back then with us - then again who knows.

We lack speed, quality and match winners but most of all we lack NRL quality forwards and it won’t matter who our coach is they will struggle with the current mob.

The more I watch our side the more I hope CC or Morris doesn’t take on the role - we aren’t ready for a new/inexperienced coach. We will need a gap filler for 2-3yrs until we get out of the rut

And at the same time we continue to fill the squad with rubbish inexperienced players like Riley aged 23 & not having played a game of league for years.

There is no positive imediate outlook I can see currently unless Kimmorley just bites it and gives kids a crack & someone shows something.

No juniors to depend on.
Overpaid over the hill players out of form.
No interest from marquees to join the club.
What was the strategy after having the oldest roster in the comp?
Start to sign the best 19-20 year olds on the cusp but not getting game time at their clubs.
Fair plan right?
Well for an attractive club it might be.
But you’ve got to remember we didn’t sign the best young players from these other clubs we signed their best rejects.
This is because the best young players stayed at their clubs.
Please prove I’m wrong.
Stefano. Both Niakore and Kaufusi were preferred.
Douehi. Latrell was signed to play fullback instead, Campbell Graham preferred as Centre.
Simpkin. Corey Paix who was a halfback at the time was preferred as backup hooker.
Kepoa. Tuipalotu was preferred then later signed with Manly.
To’a. Best preferred, Tuala and Young recruited.
Tulagi. 22 years old playing Melbournes reserves yet to debut.
Musgrove. Out of the game on DV charges. No contract.
Lauri. Edwards and Stains preferred.
Blore. Martin, Leinu, Burns preferred. Burns later released to St George.
Simpkins. Well we know the young talent on show at the cowboys. Wonder why we didn’t grab, Luki, Nanai, Neme, Condon, Gilbert instead?
As you can see both Hartigan and Madge’s hands were tied with trying to attract anyone to this undesirable club.
Sorry.
