If I was constructing a team I would have most of my cap tied up with gun forwards and a ½ back.
Backs can be developed and or topped up with bargains.
Forwards win matches.
The rest can play tidlywinks 🤣

Daine Laurie would easily be the worst (Or second worst) Starting Fullback in the comp!!

The mindless pumping up of him here is beyond comprehension.

Wonder what the fan base will do IF we get Ciraldo and the first thing he does is buys a real fullback.

Paps, Kennedy, Brimson, Drinkwater and (vomit) Gutho. This is without thinking about it.

Daine Laurie support Play = Non existent.

His comment made was that there are four (4) Fullbacks better than Daine in the NRL at the moment...

I love the people saying let’s go after these bottom of the table fringe players, last thing we need to do now is panic buy, we need to be patient, otherwise we will be back in this position we are in, 5 years from now. We got api and papli’i, some experience in our pack and also a few to come back from injury that will be better for it. Promote a couple of our better young players (there’s not many in nsw cup) and then take next year as a loss already, go big in the market the following year. By then stefano and a couple of our other young forwards will be well versed in nrl level as well as simpkin if we can keep him. It’s not gunna be a matter of sign Lodge, sign brown now! That’ll just set us back, realistically they aren’t the fix and unless you get them for biscuits it’s only gunna set us back, we need young, hungry. Hopefully if we somehow convince Ciraldo he can convince a player like Leniu to come over.

When do mid season signings have to be finalised by? 30 June 2022.

With LL Cool J leaving do WT have 2 or 3 spots to fill in the roster for 2022.

The way Kelma Tuilagi has been performing maybe we should see if Manly have someone half decent to swap him mid season. His form has deteriorated over last month and maybe trying the Moses and LL Cool J method to leave the club early. So no point giving a player a top 17 spot when he is not performing irrespective of how the team is performing.

As well as Peachy potentially leaving (yes please) do Forum members believe Gildart (turning 26 in August) will hang around in 2023 or also ask for a release back to UK? Not many recent example of English backs doing well in the NRL. Yes I appreciate in the 80s and 90s English backs did well like Hanley and Schofields.

This year he has improved his defensive positional play and his ability to straighten the attack in backline sweeps and second man plays. He has been sniffing around the middle a little more too, but that is a work in progress.

He is progressing nicely in my opinion.

People also need to remember the 12 players in front of him have been letting him down.. The forwards have been very poor with no go forward and no fullback will play great footy with a team like this.. Put Laurie at FB for Panthers now and everyone would be saying how great he is for a young guy..

No they wouldn't.
How many offloads through the middle has he latched onto at pace?
It's usually a hooker or another forward there.
How often is he the guy trying to make the last tackle when the try is scored - Barely ever.
Souths put 4 odd tries on the left... He barely made it there in time to help them celebrate.... Like he doesn't even know how his own uncle plays!!

He's not an elite fullback - He's just not....
He's not even mid table.... Unfortunately for us - He just isn't.
I don't know anyone outside a few voices here that think he is.

Do I hope he comes good - Of course I do...
Do I have blind faith in it - F**K NO!!
Do I want us in the market for a real fullback... As of today - yes I do!!

He's not there mate, Because he's lazy....

His effort to get to most positions on the field in attack and defence is barely there.... Bar his 3-4 highlights that everyone hangs their hat on.

We don't have better for the moment - And he might be amazing.....
But he can come good in ressies.....

This statement from the kennel is one of many, they seem fixated or should I say obsessed with what is happening with JH and CC.
They seem to know everything...have they sacked a coach recently, have they got coach? Have they thrown a cheque boot at players and failed....clean up ya kennel doggies.
The guy who wrote this states that he knows a WT sponsor who throws him info. The sponsor is probably that WT Forum member who said he hates the club and is going to Redcliffe.
