Way I read it is Flano doesn't need Sheens...Sheens wants a gig......and a weak Board wants a buffer between themselves and the coach
It won't be Flanno who is easily the most qualified candidate..more So than Sheens as his achievements are so more recent

Its pretty clear even from Sheens interview lately on MMM that the next coach is a ‘kid’ you wouldn’t describe Flanno, a coach with more than 5 years experience as a kid, as for Madge I didn’t expect him to be sacked as you can see from our last 2 games sacking him hasn’t changed anything, at best I thought they would’ve given him the rest of the year than decide whether to keep him for 23 but anyway its happened nothing can be done about it now but you can tell from Sheens recent interview that Flanno wouldn’t be described as a kid.

Sacking Madge when we did was a bizarre decision which undermined my confidence in Sheenstbh
Ditto Mikaele and to a lesser extent LL
 
Surley the club has some kind of knowledge as to who is going to be head coach

I don’t believe ciraldo has made his mind up yet or we would be hearing about it he doesn’t seem like the kind of bloke to lead us on as soon as he has made a decision I’m sure Tim sheens will know

It just sucks how desperate for success this club has made us all I was thinking about it today just shaking my head thinking how the hell does this club get out of this every coach we target gets nothing but advice from people telling them to stay the hell away from the club it will end your career you would be mad to go there. So then what? We just take the most desperate coach who will take the job

It’s just so frustrating as a fan I think we are in trouble for the next few years but our only hope is these jrs we have come through and stay at the club

Yeah I thought it was weird when he said kid.

Like he already had someone in the job.

Well we know Ciraldo is the first target at this stage, only other name we’ve been linked too is Morris, both coaches have little to no experience coaching a first grade team hence calling them kids in that respect, you wouldn’t call Flanno who coached the Sharks from 2010-2018 (minus 2014) a kid with more than 5 years experience at the helm, it seems we aren’t going for experience this time but rather than someone Sheens can mentor.

I didn’t expect him to be sacked mid season, very rarely does sacking a coach mid year pay off, personally I would’ve given him the rest of the year than decide whether or not to keep him but anyway its done now, Mikaele and LL were not going to be apart of the clubs long term future hence getting rid of them early but I can see your point. All we can do now is just see who comes along and go from there.

I don’t even remember the last time they sacked a coach by sacking I refer to getting rid of him mid season, Trent has had the job since 2013 and seems unlikely they’ll move him on, as for the Roosters most players will take cuts to go to them or Storm knowing they’ll play finals, sucks I know but unless the NRL changes the system nothing can be done.

They may well all be false but it might also explain why he hasn't had a coaching gig since.

It didn’t work for Cronulla because while they did sign a lot of talent for this year, they sacked Morris at the beginning of the season last year and missed the 8, although they just missed it while Morris coached them both times into the 8, as for Dogs while it does look better for them, they still aren’t gonna be top 8 this year they probably won’t be last, but they aren’t still making the 8. 23 might be the end for their drought but they aren’t a premiership force still for 22

The club have already disclosed the focal point of development is recapturing some of that 2005 brand of footy. It's probably why Sheens, Farah and Benji were pursued by the club.
Ciraldo has gained a reputation for his ability to work with juniors plus his coaching methods are highly effective in today's game.
IMO it's as simple as getting a coach capable of bringing the club's vision together. Someone who can successfully implement a coaching model or precise training methods to integrate this (coaching) style into the Wests Tigers junior pathways systems and work collaboratively with each division to ensure the successful application of it.

The club have always been transparent with this and I've interpreted that it basically means the club wish to create a high performing culture which is embedded throughout and they are being measured with their approach, by seeking a coach that can unify this goal.
