So if your unable to make the Aust. Team or Origin, then the players rating can only increase by 1 point after each 2 years (3points from debut ± 1 point aftet each 50games) which means the player will reach the 10 points after 12years.
Is this correct?
Or am i confused?

I don’t think the salary cap was designed to help the bottom of the pile teams. It was designed to stop clubs going broke.

Sorry but the New York knicks have been shit for years with no all stars. Have had several times where they’ve had half thier cap space spare to sign over the hill players not worth the minimum for hundreds of millions of dollars . Does that sound familiar ?
That’s with a draft as well . Shit clubs do shit club things . Doesn’t matter what league your in .
For reference as well . Newcastle in the premier league were for many years perennially the 5th-6th team .
Got new owners and have been close to diabolical getting relegated and promotion to mid table and what not . Now they have Saudi money and better staff and there’s talk of them being the new Man City.
This was the same for Los Angeles Clippers , until they got a front office with brains and money .
My point is we need a circuit breaker , because something in this club screams mediocrity. And has for a very long time .

Good post. Draft is not the be all and end all. It could help but, as you say, a good front office would be nice.
 
It would be good if clubs could only spend a fraction of their cap. Why should a team on the bottom pay its players as much as those on the top.

So maybe a portion of the cap should be for weely bonuses for all clubs so teams on the bottom would have to pay less and have a carry over for the year after.

That'll get some hunger into the boys.

There was alot more to it but that was just some bits of it also after 70 and 100 games 120 games you4 points change

There will never be a relegation system. Even the poorest of teams draw pretty good ratings on TV. You take those teams out of NRL and the ratings will plummet.

Not sure about draft system either: can't imagine top juniors being forced to play for crappy teams.

Maybe if catto was made to sit out a year his mate lawny would not have pulled the same crap.

Theyll just counter that argument saying X amount of clubs have won the comp since 05 including us...i think since 2000 everyones won one except GC & NZ
