You need at least 4 years imo to get the benefit of molding a club from grass roots, if they offer Morris anthing less then WT are Hippocrates.

They only gave Madge 3,5 years with a battered cap and low input highly paid players from the previous coach who left us high and dry...
So Morris gets everything up to 4 years but Madge gets the arse after 3.5 years and a heap of crap...

Merlot old mate I have no idea, if I was to guess though it would have had to be because of Doueihi's injury and the fact that Madge had full autonomy and control of the roster, like coaches before him I reckon he thought he could yet get the best out of Brooksy .. just guessing here

Sheens and madge are polar opposites.

Looking at kimmorley language now is up Sheens alley, playing to strengths, seeing improvement and bringing the old boys in farah and Marshall. Madge never would of let those guys coach his players.

This will help get some identity back

To me the Wests tigers identity is: kicking it dead on the third or passing it into the second row off a no look pass, not finding touch but kicking it out on the full in regular play, white anting a coach, going himself on the fifth only to be held up, not making finals with a once in a generation NSW fullback and a regular NSW hooker.

I was hoping the new identity would be to play no frills footy and bash the opposition for 80 minutes and be in a position to win every match in the last few minutes. Unfortunately Madge couldn’t sell the vision to the squad.

Man, you missed the part towards the end of the segment where Kenty says Sheen's wanted Madge gone (last year) but the board overuled it - It seems they were saving face when he eventually got sacked by stating they would go off of Sheen's recommendation. No wonder he looked visibly flustered at the presser, we wasted half a season smh

I missed that part, but if that's true it shows just how inept, incompetent and vain our board are, I'd go so far as to say that letting Sheens cop the brunt of the firing proves to me the board members are only using the club to boost their egos and could care less about creating a winning culture. We have a club that is always trotting out excuses, if this is true it proves it starts at the top.

Deadset bring the old boys club back....Farah and Marshall to help coaching...

thats what has cost us years of no finals mate,,,Farah,Marshall club icons and could only win ONE premiership,,,,what about the last 11 years they were here and a big part of the club for most of those 11 years...
Get with the times Tim sued us and has been sacked from many clubs,,,Farah thought HE was the club and cost us Potter,Marshall thought he was the greatest,but the Auckland blues thought they needed him....fairdinkum some people really need to think before they post...Madge got sacked because he wanted to change the culture of this club ...bringing those blokes back will only set us back another decade...

We need a new identity just like we need one home ground...we dont need old past heros.we need fresh new blood in regard to coaching,players and bloody admin so we can move forward,the old way has cost us dearly.time to enter the new way of the game and systems....
