3 and half years later it simply never eventuated.

I'm not blaming all on madge by reports hartigan was not the right mix too.

But you cannot say madge was not given enough control he hired his two besties and was given enough autonomy to coach. Again failed.

Madge damaged our identity further and the coaching was not nrl standard.

Much prefer the direction the club is going now involving legends into coaching first grade and developing more skills into first grade squad.

I don’t think he’d have had to sell us anything. If you remember, he was all but signed to Manly. We wanted him because Bennett had turned us down, and Madge was the next best available candidate.

I hope you are right and I hope we get Morris. I think Morris is a much better option than Ciraldo.

I don't expect Morris to sign quality players. I expect him to be a good coach. I expect him to be better than Madge. Younger but he has some experience.

I really hope they get him.

He extended the then Dally M halfback of the year when he was a free agent for 2020. It’s easy to be a Monday morning QB now, but at the time his re-signing was completely justified.

This club needs at least 2 years of consistent results before it convinces me. If I had a dollar for every thread that’s been made about a win we just had being a watershed moment in the clubs history, only for it to coming to nothing, I’d be a millionaire.

Thanks for the advice. I suspected three players from the Sharks may be waiting to see who will be appointed coach. Morris is a very well thought of at the Sharks and supporters I speak with confirm this and that he was very harshly treated.

I get that he was unfairly treated, but was he there long enough to have the club go on a slide. How would the supporters have reacted then?

Morris was at the Sharks for years in different roles. His last two as head coach getting the team to two finals series. Imagine if he had achieved that at WTs. A harmonious dressing shed where all players are working for the common good goes a long way. I'm sure also the news gets around among other players and impacts recruitment.

Would Flanagan really be a bigger drawcard than Morris? I doubt it....
