Wests Tigers Coaches

I agree with tigermaniac; you don't accidentally win a competition. Anything Stryker wrote after that is frankly irrelevant.

Sheens was a great tactical coach at times. He also picked up and bought through some elite talent. Robbie, Benji, Prince, Hodgson and Ellis were elite players. Lawrence was pretty good as well.

He has as many clangers though to go with the good decisions.

All coaches win competitions on the back of good rosters - Sheens and Maguire and the rest. Blind faith in one over the other counts for little if neither have a roster capable of winning
This is what gets me about sacking Madge...he took on a job that was left vacant after Cleary jumped ship,he knew the cap was in trouble,he had players left that wanted to play under Cleary and wanted the culture change and pathways restored...Ok he had 3.5 years here, but to be honest he really only had about 1.5 years to get what he wanted..He did resign a lot and also got Api and Pap for next year as well as gave some youngsters a taste of NRL..
Overall he didnt get results and was sacked...In reality the club should have given him until the end of his contract to see what he could have made with the new players and some youth in the mix afterall this is what Sheens is on about now ....development and you need the time to mould a team that is capable of making the 8 ...
I know the same old people on here will start bagging my opinion but to bad ...

100% fact. A really good roster, a good run with injuries and then a bit of magic in relation to bringing it all together to win a comp.

Maguire and Sheens have both won comps. Cleary has as well and he destroyed our club.

Quite easily actually. Based on your posts so far, it's no shock you couldn't make it past the opening lines. Try sounding out the big words first and I'm sure you'll get through the rest of it.
I believe in you, little champion.

Don't forget pick up some wax for when you and paws polish Lee's car, boot licker.
Nugget lover

3.5 years of crap not enough? He's gone and for good reason.

It's a good argument but only if the coach is not the key person that Sheens has been stating he is.

If the coach only gets 3 years then you have to take recruitment and retention out of the coaches hands.

i hope your enjoying them with True and Gallagher

Im telling you what I know to be true.

Woolfe has spoken to Tigers. Flanno didnt.

It will NOT be Flanno, Green or Woolfe.
Anecdotal, but a colleague of mine bumped into Flanno at a job we were doing at Taren Point. The colleague is a Tigers fan also and actually hit him up about potentially taking the role on. Flanno literally laughed at him.

In the modern NRL, players make the coach, not the other way around. Bellamy would be the only coach that might be the exception to the rule. Not even Robbo would succeed here with our lot.

You effectively need a man manager to lure and cater to the best in the game, who also would invariably have the largest egoes.

Gee CB.I hope Flanno laughed at him because he is to busy with the media to take the job on....
But I dont think so....
