It is well documented that the Tigers were all in for Ciraldo and thought they had him. I don't subscribe to the knives in the back thing re Madge as it was clear Sheens wanted Ciraldo, not himself, in the main role. If Morris doesn't want the job, as some have reported, maybe the club is getting desperate and see that Sheens can provide some short term stability and direction. Who knows?

I'm prepared for a roasting, but I don't mind the idea of Sheens as Coach and Laurie Daley as assistant...

Whatever they decide, they need to stop stuffing about and announce the new head coach immediately, whether it's Sheens or someone else. We need to give the new guy time to start work on our 2023 roster before any worthwhile available talent dries up completely.
 
Not really I think Sheens coming on gives the joint stability for 12 - 24 months while we get our cap freed up will be better than where we are at now to try and bring players in, reckon Payton in 24 or Kimmorley to take over a few years down the track after working under sheens.
