In my opinion he is on par with Noddy being named head coach but it also shows a lack of integrity in that he sacked the coach and then he gets the job.

I'll still support him though.

I don't think the coach matters that much. I think the squad matters a lot more.

Imo the coach must remain relevant and be able to communicate well with the playing group. The performance of the team on the weekend and the strong recovery toward the end suggests whoever was speaking with the players delivered the correct message in a positive way which resonated with the players.

It's just embarrassing to sack a coach than not be able to sign a new because no one is interested in coming to this rabble of a place

To have no other option but Sheens is beyond laughable

Lucky we have IP and API locked in because if we can't attract a coach than what chance are we of ever changing our fortunes and comsistently start signing quality players

There is other options besides sheens
But the whole mantra in league is stay in a cushy environment where you can do it easy. Goes for players aswell

Sheens will be reviewing his own performance under the existing conditions. That should go well for him.

It's a cunning new policy that WT will try and shows them thinking outside the box.Some NRL clubs sign coaches who win in the UK but we are going to sign a bloke who continually fails and gets sacked.It will be hilarious watching the SBS brigade slowly realising they have been sold a pup but it won't be too much fun for people/supporters who remember just how bad it was when he was sacked here last time

I got nothing against Sheens,but I think it will be one of the most embarrassing things to happen to this club if he becomes head coach once again.
Sacking Madge and getting a “development coach” only to end up with Sheens……mind blowing 😂
Realistically we land Flanno or Morris,but I’d be less disappointed if we just kept Noddy then let Sheens step back in.

The Wests Tigers have approached Tim Sheens to gauge his appetite in coaching the club next year, and are considering offering him the job.


The club knows the 71-year-old would be a short-term solution. He would help get the club back on track and mentor a group of assistants, eventually grooming one of them to take over when he finishes up in a couple of years.

You notice that these daily headlines don't quote sources, cheap arse journalism.

I personally don't know why Noddy can't be given the reins for the year with Sheens assistant coach.
Sheens is going to poke his nose in and around the joint anyway so just announce it.
The longer this takes the more the player well dries up and the more I rate Sheens as a failure.
Other prominent clubs are now hunting players to fill their void so where do you think that leaves us.
Get off your hands tigers.

Yes that sounds ideal, exactly what we need is to replace an interim coach with a short term coach who will then be replaced by another coach.
