Wests Tigers Coaches

alright gents, probably going to get rinsed for this but here goes.

I'm stoked with this. Benji is a universally loved character that is adored by just about everybody in the league. this instantly improves our standing in the media and the player market. he understands the modern game because he's played it, and while he's not exactly qualified right now, by the time he serves his apprenticeship under one of the game's best ever coaches he will be ready.

we speak about identity and DNA all the time. Tim Sheens, Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah are as Wests Tigers as you can get.

If true at least we will be having a ride, can't see Benji/Sheens driving a boring style of footy.

Be very very interesting how & who the coaching structure unfolds around them + how/who the players (juniors, existing and new) view the relationship as well given how much cash we have to spend over the next few years.

Another 5yr plan on its way....

Could be a very good move , Benj learns off Sheens and also has all the Kiwi kids hoping he sees them and steels them for our junior path ways , Best of both worlds from juniors , look at it this way QLD just beat NSW with rookie Coach and Rookie assistants , NSW had ex NRL,coaches in Fitler and magregor

We might be like Manly they only seem to go ok when they have a ex player coaching. Hopefully we are the same. We may be able to get some kiwi players now.

When the Media gives them what they've giving all our other coaches for however long - We'll see how "universally" loved they are...
Moreso, Lets see what it does to their personalities....
I can't wait for Benji's "Last time I looked, We're only 4 wins outside the 8" As a coach....

2 Years isn't a coaching apprenticeship - Especially considering his game "Smarts"
He could make magic (Every other day) but he was never quite the game managing genius he makes himself out to be....

What a brain dead organisation. So Benji after two years under Sheens will be the head coach to take us on the road to glory. I guess this must be Sheen’s great vision. Heaven help us.
Why do the Tigers rate so well on TV and all the media articles is it because we have so many fans or is it a comedy show or is it like a bus crash and you can not look away or you will miss the gruesome ending

Fun times at the COE or Weekend at Sheenies ?

Reactions: BZN
Billy Slater won Origin without any 'Coaching Experience'.

Coaching is less about tactics and more about roster.

IF Benji can attract new talent, inspire emerging talent - assistants can be deployed to take care of technical stuff.

I'm with you mate and agree this should help with recruitment etc...
Got to give Benji credit to leave a media job with his own show to take on this is a guy committed.. I don't know why but i'm excited as well.

People will say no experiences etc.. but he has played 300+ Games and been around the game and great coaches along the way..

I didn't think I would day this but I will have to watch 360 tonight as it will be hard for them to be hard on us now.
