Wests Tigers Coaches

If you wanted to give Payten a 5 year deal in 2 years, I’d be up for that. He’s gone away, worked as an assistant at a couple clubs, now showing what he‘s capable of. This reeks of a guy whose put in no work and is going to be gifted his job. Silver spoon and all that.

I doubt he will be gifted the job.
Coaching at this club will be harder than playing for this club.
His pre work over the next few years is going to have to be off the charts.

It’s happening sheens will be coach just get on board with what’s the point in complaining? There not gonna change the decision

We are supporters of the club after all so let’s support this decision
That is exactly the attitude that helps a club only make the finals thrice in 23 years.
Being submissive and accepting mediocrity is the Wests Tigers way.

I don’t mind it to be honest because Benji is a very engaging person. Together with having an attacking mindset and great footy mind he will inspire younger players.

Crucial to his success will be having quality assistant coaches around him for the heavy lifting. Leave Benji to manage the players, like a Bennett or Meninga style head coach.

20 Odd years of watching this team not being able to defend - especially with these 3 same people involved has me disagreeing with you completely....
Benji attitude (His whole career) was I don't have to tackle - And I don't get tackled.
Respect Your opinion….time will tell

Benji needs experience around him, if Farah is the other assisstant "god help us" the likes of Toovey , Laurie etc he needs another sounding board besides Sheens. I wonder what Mick Hagen is doing these days, it worked great for Mal...

Very interesting. It's not official but it sounds likely.

I think it's a hail mary play just like the way Benji played the game.

It might work though. As @tigerap stated time will tell.

Hi everyone, my first post here.
I've been a Tigers supporter since a kid way back in about 1980/81 when I lived in Leichhardt. I live down in Shellharbour now with my wife and kids.
I just wanted to say I'm glad I joined this forum the day when we can see some positive news coming from the club. The media will slowly turn the screws elsewhere and we can start strengthening our roster.
Well, that's the plan.

alright gents, probably going to get rinsed for this but here goes.

I'm stoked with this. Benji is a universally loved character that is adored by just about everybody in the league. this instantly improves our standing in the media and the player market. he understands the modern game because he's played it, and while he's not exactly qualified right now, by the time he serves his apprenticeship under one of the game's best ever coaches he will be ready.

we speak about identity and DNA all the time. Tim Sheens, Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah are as Wests Tigers as you can get.

You've convinced me. I'm In.
