We cannot role over again and again . Especially to those scumbags at parramatta. We let Moses walk , we let matterson walk .. for goodness sakes have some balls. Lee your job is not to go on SEN and talk crap, your job is to protect this club.. I hope a legal letter has gone straight to parramatta CEO and to papalia agent . Any amount of cash or player swap is not good enough here.

Dad is going ok, has another scan on the 27th, mum has regained some movement in her left leg, which is being worked on by the physio's to get muscle strength back, but she is sick at least once a week and can't complete physio. Me I am having a bad run, broke a toe on my left foot, tore the soleus muscle in my right leg, and have blood in my right ear, which isn't from my 2 aneurysms as I have had another CT scan, they think inner ear infection, it has been 6 days now, and it's very annoying, but we will get there

I think it’s time for Brooks to go, but what benefit does that give us? Who’s off contract that we can spend Papali’i’s and Brooks’ money on?
Parra were able to influence Matterson to get out of contract, so they’re applying the same strategy here. If we stood firm then I don’t think we’d be having this conversation.
Gould needs to stop making comments like this. He’s an NRL club employee. This constant down talking of other clubs is unprofessional and potentially actionable if it looks like he’s inciting players to leave.
Taupau was the pioneer in getting out of a contract early. He refused to sign an extension with the Tigers and signed with Manly as soo. as he was off contract but didn’t return to the Tigers for his final year after the deal was announced whilst on international duties.

I said it before, I’ll say it again.Benji Marshall has revealed the context of his SOS call to star recruit Isaiah Papali’i, who is refusing to quell Wests Tigers’ fears that he wants out of his $1.9 million contract.
Meanwhile, Papali’i’s high-profile Eels teammate Mitchell Moses has admitted he hasn’t given up hope that the Kiwi International will remain in blue and gold.
As first revealed by The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday, Papali’i has cold feet about linking with the Tigers next year, with his priority to stay at Parramatta.
After a starring performance against the Warriors on Friday night, Papali’i had the chance to kill the issue.
But he didn’t.
“For me, I’m pretty focused on this season that I have here and what I can offer the Eels so I want to make sure that I finish this season strong, and I’ll worry about that when it comes to it,” Papali’i said.
“I have no comment on that stuff. It’s not my focus at the moment and I want to make sure that I put my best foot forward in the season that I have here.
“That’s playing week to week and worrying about my job.”
Papali’i was then asked if Tigers fans could relax knowing that he’d join the club in 2023.
“There’s nothing for me to say there and I just want to make sure that I can finish this season strong,” he said.
“Whatever happens, happens.”
The 23-year-old New Zealand international was quizzed on whether his bond with Marshall would be enough to sway him.
“He’s a good mate,” he said.
“Obviously I’ve been on some camps with him with the Kiwis. That’s all I have to say at the moment.”
As for Sheens taking over next year?
“That’s great for the club,” he said.
“Everyone was wondering who the coach would be, so knowing their plans going forward is something good for the club.”
The questions won’t go away for Papali’i until he gives definitive answers, so for now, he’s going into lockdown.
“I’ll keep my circle tight and make sure I’m performing week to week,” Papali’i said.
“I’ve got to stay away from social media because that’s the biggest thing that gets in your head for everyone. I’ve got to stay away from that, enjoy my footy and stay with my mates.”
Papali’i’s comments are of a different tone to what Marshall explained to The Sunday Telegraph.
Just hours after being appointed as the Wests Tigers long-term coach, Marshall was on the phone to Papali’i.
“Yeah, I called him,” Marshall said.
“I told him what was happening, I told him I was coaching. He said it was a breath of fresh air to hear that.”
Papali’i’s appetite to join the Tigers has been soured by the departure of axed Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire, who had coached the backrower for New Zealand.

A key figure in Papali’i signing with the Wests Tigers was also former head of recruitment Adam Hartigan.
However, he has also been moved on from the last-placed club.
Papali’i has made it clear to his Parramatta teammates and coaching staff that he wants to stay in blue and gold.
It’s understood the Eels have salary cap space to retain the Kiwi International.
Interestingly, Moses also understood that there was a clear issue with Papali’i going to the Tigers when asked about his teammate’s predicament on Triple M on Saturday.
“Hopefully he stays with us,” Moses said.
“He’s a quality player. Where he has come from, the quality of stuff he does on the field, but off the field as well, he’s such a good person, which makes it even better.
“He’d be a big loss.’’
Asked if he had given up hope of keeping Papali’i, Moses replied: “Never. Hopefully he can stay.’’
Aware of their star recruit’s anxiety, the Wests Tigers recently took Papali’i on a guided tour of the club’s $75 million Centre of Excellence.
Tigers officials left the meeting confident Papali’i was committed to the club.
The Tigers are on firm legal ground to ensure the contract stands with Papali’i unable to tread down a path used by other disgruntled players in the past, who have broken a contract on the basis of compassionate grounds.
Any money this gets resolved by Nathan Brown being released to play for us and we save some cash in the process.

We've had posted on this forum advice that WTs has a legally binding contract for 3 years with Papali'li'. Arthur attempting to muddy the waters and reference to "an allocation" should be viewed in that context.

If the Eels have allowed Brown to speak with other clubs that is their decision. Papali'i' is lost to the Eels.
We know contracts can be broken legally binding or not - we have two players playing at other clubs now who were both contracted to us this year.
I’m not as confident as you, you’ve got to remember this is a club asking a player honour his contract when they failed to honour the coaches contract 6 months after that player agreed to join them.
Do any of our blokes play tough enough to be able to hurt any of them Tcat?
My disgust with our administration and board will be complete if we don't dig in and fight over this.Already i hold them in contempt for the way they run our club.We should have a legally valid contract at the NRL for his services starting from 2023 and it should be enforceable with zero if's and but's.
Both our CEO and Chairman should already have contacted VLandys and told him that Parra are trying to get a player to break a legal contract and we as a club EXPECT the NRL to do their job and take action against Parra.Parra should also have been warned by our club that any continuation of this illegal action will result in legal action against all parties who are encouraging the illegal action.

We’re all frustrated with the possibility of losing Papali’i before he gets to play a game TP. But shouldn’t we use our resources to be a successful club? Rather than picking fights we can’t win?
I disagree because this is a fight we can't lose unless we choose to do so our contract should be 100% enforceable in any and all court's of law in Australia.
The club needs to be resolute and stand rock solid on this
