You can't sell one thing to players than do a complete turnaround and not expect them to be questioning their decision - whether it is legitate or not. He is in stellar form, we are in the headlines for all the wrong reasons and camped on the bottom of the table. His decision about what to do about it will be selfish and may not favour us - but is it that surprising when clubs and players break contracts all the time based on self interest. Hope he honors it but preparing for the worst because I can't see how his allegiance is not more directed toward staying with the Eels.
As if he’s the first player to ever sign to play under a coach only for that coach to get sacked before the player gets there. It’s one of the hazards of the game. And Madge wasn’t even quoted in the press release when Ipap was announced, it was all Sheena. So I’m skeptical of how involved Madge actually was in the negotiations.

There’s only one way to handle this , and s to stand ur ground and refuse to release him and if he plays like shit sue him . But it’s funny that the other parra players leaving are saying nothing , is it that the slimmmy eels management thinks they can walk over the tigers like they have done with Moses , matterson and Stepho , if we let this go we need shouting

Agreed, really hope he stays. He is very talented.

Club or Benji need to call him up and tell him to make a statement that clears the air ,
im playing and concentrating on winning with Parra this season and once the season is over I’ll be heading to the wests tigers to work under Tim Sheens and Benji for the following 3 years , don’t read what’s in the papers , then the club needs to call up Parra and warn them any more slimming and we sue , and also call up the NRL and lay a complaint regarding Parra and there in sighting a players break his contract

I just don’t want us to get a reputation for forcing players into a corner by legal means. We want people to join the organisation of free will and give it everything they have.
The player and his club are trying to force us into a corner, because they know we’ll give in

I’d say the $650,000 per year was the biggest factor but I get you. While I’m sure it played a factor in him signing, he can’t have been oblivious to the situation going on with Madge which was a running theme for a season and a half.
Parra would have told him to use the Madge sacking thing, he stated when signed it was because of the money, nothing about coming to play for Madge

What are all the times clubs have broken contracts?

Stefano didn't like how the club treated his brother, he was long odds to reneg
That club is filled with snakes,

Even when you are just minding your own business,
But you didn't know that you got too close to the snakes with those business deals, they then put their heads up and make their hissing sound and they prepare to inject their venom thinking that you're intruding their territory.

No they don’t need to tell him to make a statement. He’s more than entitled to focus on this season. The club just needs to make it clear he will be here.

What are all the times clubs have broken contracts?
Clubs move on players all the time when they decide they are no longer wanted. They have to pay them out but is not what the players originally signed
What are all the times clubs have broken contracts?
Players get tapped all the time without seeing through their contract. Which results in the dissolving of one contract and drawing up of another.

Dad is going ok, has another scan on the 27th, mum has regained some movement in her left leg, which is being worked on by the physio's to get muscle strength back, but she is sick at least once a week and can't complete physio. Me I am having a bad run, broke a toe on my left foot, tore the soleus muscle in my right leg, and have blood in my right ear, which isn't from my 2 aneurysms as I have had another CT scan, they think inner ear infection, it has been 6 days now, and it's very annoying, but we will get there
Sorry to hear, thinking of you all and wishing you a speedy recovery.

The comments directed at Lee to stand his ground are funny, considering the last time he did he made a public statement about Aloiai mowing lawns, and it made us look further inept.
I don't want this playing out so publicly and causing more embarrassment for the club. Think when they go about their jobs quietly and remain tight-lipped and coy, we actually seem like a professional organisation. But doing this reactive crap only amplifies what's wrong with us and it's why we'll always be considered the wrong fit for anyone wanting an opportunity to succeed and grow.

Hope he comes. Hope we don't do anything stupid as he is a highly desired player whose (skills/ability/presence are) great for all the club's wider goals - including improving brand perception, roster and recruitment.
